"Came in from out of town and having read all the other wonderful reviews. Unfortunately I was disappointed due to the Finery being closed. Apparently they have been evicted for not paying their rent, this may be long term. Edit: Reply to the ownerscomments. Not impressed with you’re combative comments. This isn’t gossip the sign is on the door. While I’m sure you’rein pain you have zero knowledge of me or my background. So if you’re the type that’s first to throw stones then there’sperhaps a reason why things got to this point. I’m just doing due diligence in reporting your closure. Not idle gossip as youallege. Anyone walking over there on the day I was there would have found the same."

We visited the restaurant just before it permanently closed. The food was mediocre, the service was slow, and the prices were high. However, the food itself was quite delicious. View menu

The Blacksmith Finery Bar will be closing its doors tonight. Sadly, they weren't able to secure a renewal for their building lease. The owners and chef are relocating to Pennsylvania.

The service and food were outstanding! Be sure to try the Crawfish Pie, and don’t forget to save some of the étouffée for dipping your fried shrimp or fried oysters. It’s absolutely delicious!

We come here every Sunday for bottomless mimosas and amazing food. The mimosas are endless and your glass will never be empty. The service is so friendly and the fastest I’ve ever experienced. The head chef is the sweetest woman who cooks amazing foodand the menu has a great array of options. I highly recommend the egg and tortilla stack! If you’ve never been here you’remissing out tremendously. 5 stars everyday Sunday. View menu

The Finery is our favorite restaurant in the area. As always it was awesome. Wednesday night music makes the dining room louder than usual but in a pleasant way. The staff is wonderful(Jen) and so is the food(Chef Juliette) . Crispy artichokes, lamb shank, and strawberry rhubarb crisp oh my. The seasonal menu is perfect. Cocktails to die for (the finely fashioned and the fly me to the moon are our favorites) cheers Friends.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and we were always very pleased with its creative cuisine. This time, my halibut was perfectly cooked and the garish and the sauce were well balanced, my husband’s pork chop, even though slightly dry, tasted very well. The reoccurring problem in this restaurant is the service. First, as we came for the early dinner and we walked in the empty restaurant, we were directed to the worst table in the corner even though there were plenty of not occupied tables, second we never got our bread and our server only had our table to take care of. Conclusion : enjoy your meal and be aware of the service.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
