Former gas station transformed into a fantastic restaurant! It’s a great spot with plenty of space. We’ll definitely be returning!

The Shack may be a small venue, but it is filled with fun! They have pool tables, darts, and fantastic bartenders. Plus, every Wednesday, they host a free bingo night at 7 PM followed by karaoke at 8 PM. I absolutely love this place!

Definitely an unexpected cool mood. You're an old garage. The bartender was super nice and the prices are reasonable. Cons: They serve only beer and wine and customers can smoke inside, so if cigarettes disturb you, this can not be the place. If I'm back in Pensacola, I wouldn't mind coming back.

"First and last time ordering. The service is polite and prompt. Food is subpar. I ordered teriyaki chicken and Mongolian beef. Let me explain that there are two teriyaki chicken's. Teriyaki chicken(pic provided) OR Chicken Teriyaki on a stick(pictured by another yelper). The teriyaki chicken is best described as grilled chicken that was lightly breaded and had a yellowish color(possibly fried because the breading was crispy). The chicken teriyaki on a stick is the typical American Chinese teriyaki chicken that most expect to get when ordering teriyaki chicken. No one explained this to me over the phone, there were no pictures and the dining room is closed so I couldn't even see the pictures on the inside to verify. The chicken was tossed with scallions and white onions with a brothy liquid that was light brown. It looked more like curry chicken to me, and I've never had teriyaki mixed with white onions and scallions. Husband liked the flavor, the kids did not. I was not thrilled because I thought I was ordering something grilled. Moving onto the Mongolian beef...upon opening the smell was pleasant. It looked like typical Mongolian beef initially mixed with scallions.....wait bell peppers? White onions?? Upon trying the Mongolian beef, the meat was chewy and the only real flavor I tasted was overpowering onion and spiciness I didn't taste the normal sweetish/Chile blend of Mongolian beef. It's supposed to be made with flank steak and I honestly think that either it wasn't mAde with flank steak or the quality of meat was extremely low. Finally, Mongolian beef did not come with the expected crispy white celephane noodles-but a medium bag of stale wonton strips. Lastly, I ordered a small egg drop soup. What I got was. Gelatinous mix with the egg in it, like sweet and sour sauce when it gets cold and thickens. I couldn't eat it. I read some good reviews from people so I gave it a chance, but I feel like part of this could have been prevented if they explained the menu stuff over the phone. Two stars because pleasant service and my husband liked it. I'm bummed it wasn't better because we would have become regulars."
