"Talpa has been our go to Mexican restaurant for 40+ years. There 's a reason it 's survived the LA restaurant scene . Food is great; fresh, hot (heatwise) not just warmed up. Best guacamole just good avocados with no frills. Salsa is roasted and delicious. They 've added a full bar so you can have a margarita if you 'd like. We thought that after the long time owners sold it we 'd be disappointed, but not so. We are still loyal customers, coming back time after time for the great food and our favorite waitresses, Selina and Paula."

The best salsa ever. Great large portions. Salads are wonderful. Really good potato Tacos. The chili verde is the best but can be hit-and-miss when it comes to the tenderness of the meat.

Disappointed. Won't be back. Slow service. Error on bill; entree not served but billed. Very tight seating. I've eaten better versions of these standards dishes at other restaurants for less money. Given the availability of other, better selections, why return?

the Talpa is one of my favorite places for good Mexican food. Everything I have had at The Talpa has been tasty. The service is always friendly and they take care of you. Went there with my son for a quick lunch since he had to get back to work. Very accommodating and got us our food very quickly. The luncheon specials was fantastic and more than we could eat. At only $6.75 a great bargain. Highly recommended and the taquitos were delicious. Also comes with chips and hot sauce., and the hot sauce is just that HOT.
