"Food was underwhelming. My coffee was tepid. I had it refilled twice. Both refills were tepid. How hard is hot coffee? My salad was overdressed but fine. My grilled salmon was good. My wife’s meal was inedible. Ambience was nice. Bathrooms were down a long flight of stairs…. Fortunately no one in our group had mobility issues. A band was playing background jazz, which was lovely. Then they started playing loud enough that it was impossible to carry on a conversation. I feel like for what we paid, decent food, hot coffee, and the ability to carry on a conversation are not too much to ask."

The atmosphere of the place was nice, and the food was just okay. However, the drinks were fantastic! View menu

Arguably, on eof the best spots for a quiet breakfast/brunch in Williamsburg: lots of room, silly background music kept low, geat food and good service.

Seems like a nice place, but they shouldn’t take reservations for a time that they’re not serving food. We came for high tea at 4, which online says it runs till 4:30 and when we got there we were told high tea stops serving food at 3:45! View menu

I truly appreciate that this restaurant is open for brunch on Christmas. The hostess seated me at a lovely table, and my server expertly recommended the French toast, which turned out to be a work of art—so beautiful that it was almost too nice to eat. The berries and other fruits were perfectly ripe, so kudos to the kitchen for that. Thank you once again for the wonderful experience!

Worst high tea and brunch service I ever experienced. Everything was halfassed from the server forgetting to bring sugar, spoons, salt ,pepper steak knives, to the presentation. Server apologized at the end saying that he was watching the world cup and thats why we received bad service. Like wtf ?! Not worth $200 for 2 people to have brunch with a high tea . The hightea is not even a proper high tea service spend your money elsewhere if you want good service . Ihop has a better staff than this place.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
