"The menu is quite limited, making it better suited for larger groups opting for a fixed-price meal. That said, the prices were reasonable, contributing to that midweek dinner vibe. The drinks were decent, the service was just okay, and the decor felt outdated. It didn't match my memories from the 80s when their veal saltimbocca was a highlight—perhaps I was thinking of a different place. On a positive note, the singer had a great voice, though at times he sounded like Count Dracula performing Italian songs, which added a humorous twist to the evening. The appetizers were good, and overall, we had a nice time in the light, family-friendly atmosphere—even if it didn’t quite hit the mark for fine dining. As for parking, it was definitely easier than in Bay Ridge. Metered parking ends at 7 PM, and with a 7 PM reservation, we managed to find a spot nearby on 86th Street quite quickly."

The food is incredible every single time. This is our go-to place for amazing linguini and clams, and it's one of the few remaining restaurants where you can find scungilli and escargot on the menu.

I cook my own Italian food. Tommaso's is the only Italian restaurant I will eat in. And I've lived in three states since NY. It is, by far, the best. The food cannot be duplicated and the ambiance is the best anywhere. I've spent many happy times there. Thank you.

This place could not have been any better! The ambience was so unique and so perfect, and the food was delicious, from the free bread to the incredible pastas. Every aspect of this meal was excellent! If we lived closer, we would absolutely be regulars! You can't go wrong with this place! View menu

I visited this restaurant with my mom, cousin, and aunt. We all decided to order from the prix fixe menu, which was absolutely worth it and quite filling! As a bonus, we were served complimentary rice balls and garlic onion bread! The food was fantastic! I enjoyed pasta, filet francese, and ice cream for dessert. The bread was served warm as an appetizer. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, and the service was great. I would definitely come back!

I have been going to this place since 1989. Have not been there in 5 years since my fathers funeral. Visited today 10/15/2023. First off they have a Russian guy singing Italian songs and he sounds horrible. The food was the worst Italian food I have ever had. My wife was grossed out. Even another couple there where complaining. I 'm assuming the original owners are gone. What a horrible experience. I ordered the Trippa Siciliana. The waiter asked me if I wanted pasta or potatoes in it. Puzzled I said potato of course. So out comes the plate with 3 pieces of trip and flash home fried potatoes. Gross beyond gross. I will never go back. My wife got pork cutlet in Gorgonzola sauce. Not a good co...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
