"Old school NY Italian food was good enough to skip the 2 stars for the waitress. Best eggplant parm I've had in ages at a restaurant The Italian wedding soup was very good though we believe it was canned broth.(a bit salty but delicious) Carbonara with chicken was meh as the chicken was wayyyy overcooked and dried out Skip the prixe fixe menu and order alacart The desserts with the prixe fixe were absolutely trash. Not even funny how horrible that chocolate cake was. Serve bus boy was a 4 star The waitress Super friendly but should be working at Pilot gas. Didn't want to bother leveling the wave table so moved us( she said she didn't want to be bothered) Brought the salads that go with the meal after the meal and only because we asked what happened? One didn't have the dressing She only had 2 tables and was complaining about work she had to do in the kitchen and she wants to go home. We asked for be dessert and she disappeared Finally the bus boy went to find out what happened and she eventually came out with the desserts to go? Why? Please you had 2 tables only 2 tables and we were only 2 people!!! Yes the dinners were enough to have us wanting to return even if it's an hour and 15 minutes away"

The restaurant was packed tonight, but our server, Olivia, was absolutely amazing! She handled herself well with a rude customer. She was great with us in making sure we had everything we needed at all times and got our food to us quickly. We are looking forward to going back for more delicious food.

Tony's is a classic Italian-American restaurant that feels like a throwback. While the décor may be a bit outdated, it is well-maintained. We have been here a good many times in the past, and were very disappointed in how we were treated on a recent visit. The prices we were charged on our bill did not match the prices on the menu, and when we questioned it we were told by the manager, unapologetically, that food prices have gone up and that 's what we charge for that. I 'm just amazed at such poor customer service at a previously-well reputed restaurant.

We absolutely adore Tony Boffa's! It's the kind of food that your kids crave when they return from college, or what you long for after coming back from vacation without enjoying a good Italian meal. The atmosphere really embodies a classic Italian-American family vibe, making you feel like a member of their large Italian family whenever you dine there. Everything on the menu is fantastic, and there's nothing I wouldn't order again.

Ive been to this resurant and have taken out many times at this restaurant. It has been pretty much a staple to the city of Middletown for a very long time. It has become synonymous with Middletown. I always order the Veal Parmigiana or Scallopini at this place. Its very lean freah and perfectly breaded. Would always go back whether eat in or take out. Does offer live music on weekends but line is often busy as well. Prepare to wait if you want to eat one of best italian food in town. View menu

Been going here forever 15 years!! Since they have put it up for sale .. and after Covid the quality has declined severely!! Upon being seated close to the entertainment) our party of 7 could not hear each other.. the water glasses had tiny bits of food stuck to them mine with lip marks) showed the waiter who didn't even acknowledge me took ANOTHER DIRTY GLASS off an adjoining table.. filled with water and didn't even make eye contact. We ordered what we usually get and loved stuffed eggplant parmigiana four of the seven of us got this dish ALL OF US had pieces that were INEDIBLE... like shoe leather!! Dirty Table cloths, rude staff hostess with no charm. Dont waste you money the food was subpar. Very disappointing experience and messed up my meal. Owner did nothing other then offer to move us to a different table. Never came back to ask how our meal was, or checked, that we were taken care of! The food was ordered gluten free pasta and chicken grilled, what came out was regular pasta after we waited about 45 minutes for dinner and they were not busy. The chicken was placed back onto the grill and tasted burnt. Marc 's meal was just ok, nothing special, or even mention able.
