"Was looking forward to some awesome dishes on their Creations menu, but found both wanting. The Roasted Vegetable Tort was a great idea, but over spiced and yet lacked salt. Inconsistent at best. The Grilled Lamb T-Bone was also innovative. The lamb was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. The beet was not well cooked through and the Kalamata/Feta, which should have added a nice saltiness to the dishes but were poorly incorporated. Flavors were inconsistent through the dish. It took over an hour to get our mains and our waiter mostly disappeared during that time. We loved the view but the poor quality of both dishes left us thinking View 18 has more opportunity to improve."

Had excellent service, and they allowed us to have bar food options as well as the dinner menu. The food however, was bland and average especially for the price.

When we arrived, we asked if we could be seated with a view of the sunset. They said they weren't seating that area yet and stuck us at a tall table next to the noisy bar, which was annoying. The food was ok. Our server, on the other hand was awesome so we stuck around and had a nice time. View menu

This restaurant was recommended to us by our shuttle driver and he was right - what a find. We had a wonderful meal with our two girls (9 and 12), with a very friendly waitress Nicole making the experience allthe more pleasant. The mussels I had were very definitely amongst the best I have ever had.

The food was exceptional. Humboldt squid appy was an excellent started. We had the sablefish special which was absolutely perfect and the gentlemen devoured their Berryman pork chops. Really great food at a reasonable price point with a modern decor and atmosphere plus great service. Looking forward to a return visit. View menu

We had our anniversary dinner at Vista 18 last night. I thought I had made a reservation electronically but some how it failed. it didn't matter as the host got us a great table. The food and wine was great and the service was perfect. Drew did a wonderful job of guiding us through the Menu. He is a total Pro and a very nice man! We will be back!

On a whim we chose to eat at Vista 18 and celebrate our last night of vacation in Victoria BC. The Open Table ratings did not fail us. The sweet potato chips with avocado dip was a good starter, and quite generous. My sirloin with baby onions and mushrooms was delicious. The scallops over arugula was tasty, and although we were stuffed we managed a little dessert. Glad we ate there!
