"I didn’t have the best experience at this restaurant. I was very excited to try a new black owned business in the area. We were greeted by a nice waiter who tried to accommodate our party of three at a original table of 2. Once our third party came, a woman came to our table to “scold” us about sitting at a 2 person table with 3 people. She said we should have waited for a bigger table to be ready. If that was the policy she should have communicated that with her staff (who seated us), not us. We are the customers, the conversation didn’t have anything to do with us. We didn’t seat ourselves. We moved to a table of 4, once it was ready. When my food arrived the waffle was completely burnt on the bottom and it was not edible. They made me a new waffle and it had more air in it than batter. As soon as I touched it, the waffle completely disintegrated into crumbs. When asked how our experience was, I was very honest with my disappointment of the waffle. The response I received was, “that’s a first.” There was no apology or alternatives given. As we paid our bill and was preparing to leave, we were rushed out of the restaurant. We were told there was another party of 4 waiting to be seated. There is a right and wrong way to treat customers and I didn’t feel valued at this establishment. The saving grace were the grits. They were very good and I wish I ordered those. I truly hope they are able to work out the “kinks.” In order to have a long lasting business, you need to have good food AND customer service."

Some of the best shrimp? n’ grits I’ve ever had and it doesn’t heard to hear “Welcome Home” delivered sincerely by folx when you walk in. All in all, a wonderful brunch spot! View menu

Food was delicious and atmosphere warm as well as welcoming much like the name. I will say the grits were the BEST I have ever had...super creamy! The quiche was moist and soft with very little crust making it delightfully light. Highly recommend go and enjoy.

The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and greeted me by name when I entered to pick up my takeout order. The vegan crabcake sandwich I ordered was excellent, but I wish it was a bit more filling considering the price. I believe it was made with heart of palm. They also offer a veggie platter with beans and rice, as well as a sweet potato side that I think can be made vegan. It would be nice to see more protein options for vegans on the menu - I would like to show them more support.

I was very pleased with my experience at this restaurant from the moment we walked in and were greeted with a warm "Welcome Home!". I went with a friend on a Sunday and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My friend ordered the salmon and I chose the fish grills, both of which were outstanding. The grumbs on my dish were perfectly seasoned, so much so that I didn't feel the need to add any additional seasoning. The fish itself was cooked to perfection and I even had a taste of my friend's salmon, which was heavenly. We have definitely found a new favorite spot to dine at. View menu

It was our first time there. We found them by a simple G Search after some morning shopping. We was greeted by the owner Stephanie. She is a pure delight. She took the time to tell us about the menu popular items. I had the apple cinnamon oatmeal fish grits. Mr enjoyed the chicken and waffles. We was suppose to share, it did not happen lol. Everything was homemade (from scratch, which ever you prefer to call it). The portions was plentiful filling. The oatmeal was a treat for later. It definitely was a taste of Home. We definitely will be going back to try the rest of the menu.

This place is easy to miss along this busy road but anyone who is just driving by without a second thought is missing out! The dining area is small but the wait staff were turning tables pretty quickly. The wait time for food was reasonable. All the food we ordered was delicious. One downfall was we had to remind them about some of the things we ordered. They were very apologetic and actually offered to take it off the bill. They made our two young children feel welcome and we will definitely be returning in the future. I love that they offer meatless options as well. Welcome Home Cafe is worth a visit to Jenkintown.

"We each started with a slice, which arrived quickly and hot—just how it should be. After our first bites, we exchanged approving nods. Unlike many other pizza places in Philadelphia and its suburbs that tend to overdo the cheese, leading to it sliding off with a single bite, that isn’t the case at Bruno's! Another highlight is the pizza sauce—it’s robust, sweet, and hints at herbs and spices, just as good pizza sauce should be. Overall, the pizza strikes the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and a crust that’s both crispy and chewy—truly pizza perfection. Next, we tried their cheesesteak with American cheese and onions. They use fresh rolls that are soft yet remarkably hold all the meat and cheese together, making for a fantastic cheesesteak. What sets Bruno's cheesesteak apart is that they season their meat, offering a flavor profile that’s much richer than the typical, dry meat and cheese you find at many other places. The combination of the seasoned meat, onions, and cheese in that soft roll makes this one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had in Philadelphia. I’ve been to all the popular spots: Steve's Prince of Steaks, Geno's, Pat's, Jim's on South St., and Dalessandro's Steaks, and I can confidently say you need to try a cheesesteak from Bruno's to understand what I mean. To finish our meal, we ordered chicken wings. They are breaded and fried in the style that many of us Philadelphians grew up enjoying from local seafood places and pizzerias. The wings were cooked perfectly, and that first bite into the crispy breading had me hooked. I read some reviews claiming the chicken was undercooked, but I would have to disagree. It’s possible for properly cooked chicken to look red or even bleed at the thigh bone due to pigments from the bone marrow seeping through the thin bones of these young birds, causing a slight tint. I recommend enjoying a slice while waiting for your pizza to be ready. If you’re in the area, this is the place to visit! Pro tip: reheat your pizza on the stove to regain that fresh-from-the-oven taste and texture. Avoid microwaving your leftovers—don’t be an amateur!"
