"Food is excellent...best fried cheese curds around. Their fish was delightful. They make their own batter for cheese curds, fish, etc. Like sitting on restaurant side...quieter and more relaxed atmosphere. Poor server has to run between the bar and the restaurant while we were there...I think fairly new, as well..... Will eat there again, I'm certain Service: Dine in"

I stopped by for a quick visit while passing through town. The staff was friendly, and the other patrons were also very welcoming, which is a rarity for a small-town bar, especially for someone not from the area. The food was great, too!

Delicious food and generous portions! Today, I ordered the beef roast platter, and it was served on a 12-inch plate! There were plenty of potatoes, corn, and gravy! Every dish I've had tastes just like home-cooked meals. If you're on I-35, take exit #69 and drive about 5 minutes to Lonsdale... you won’t regret it! View menu

This place was very busy when we visited, however, the staff was attentive and kept us informed of timing of food all along the way. I was passing through the area and was drawn in by the train-themed decor. The food was fantastic, especially the roasted chicken, which was excellent. It's a charming small-town diner with great cuisine. The service had that delightful small-town warmth—Leslie was friendly and made me feel right at home. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely come back!
