"This place really turned out to be a great surprise. My fiance and I were just spending a single night in Highlands and came to Wolfgang 's just by chance. Neither one of us were all that hungry, but that changed once we tasted our first appetizer. We sat at the little, 5 person bar, and had the full attention of the bartender that night, Lexi. Now let me stop here for a moment to recognize greatness. Lexi was top notch. Her drinks were perfect. The flavor profile in her personal mixes was a delight. She was very social and all in all really added a great vibe to our night. So, thank you Lexi!! We started out with their escargot appetizer. It was so delicious, we couldn 't stop there. Next up, I can 't remember the name, but it was a mix of German foods. Sausages, potatoes, two kinds of sauerkraut, and schnitzel. It was phenomenal. Everything was so flavorful. So we had to try a little more. Next up, the lamb chop trio. Cooked to tender perfection. You can 't miss on this one. I 'm sad to say that we were actually getting full at this point and could not try any more food. The good news, I know where we will be dining the next time we are in Highlands. Forgot to mention, the chef came out a few times just to see how everyone was enjoying the food. Kudos to you chef. Thank you for the time to come and check on your work!! After I posted this, I realized I failed to compliment all the staff. Every one of the wait staff that came to the bar to get drinks for tables were all very kind and engaging. I 'm really impressed by this whole place."

Delicious food, great service ... but way too loud. We were sitting by the window ... it was hot and loud. We had to shout at each other to hear our conversation. Big ****.

The waiter was an idiot, tried to sell everything and was rude and slow to bring everything we asked for. The food was mediocre at best, the sauces were over the top and the tortillas tasted stale. Wouldn't recommend!

Always a good choice. Great margaritas and unique dishes. Carnitas seems to have changed - I didn't care what wet sauce it was on top of. It dampened the carnitas. The service was somewhat inattentive during this visit. View menu

Excellent food service! We had Haley as our server and she was super friendly attentive. We had the cream cheese jalapeño dip to start and it was delicious. I had a salty dog from the bar and it was very tasty. We both chose the apricot honey chicken as the main course and I can?t recommend it enough. Everything was absolutely delicious and it had a wonderful ambience. Overall lovely experience.

OUTSTANDING meal! Appetizer, mains, desserts, and drinks were all perfection. Service was the definition of southern hospitality. We sat on the covered patio and didn't feel rushed, even as things got busier around us. Alcohol-free options were easy here, as the bartender made every drink to order and was happy to recommended several NA options. The martini-style drink does not contain any alcohol and wasn't overly sweet. Divine!

Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one cooking style who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ... View menu

Perfect location right on the main strip. We stopped between lunch and dinner. They were supposed to be full, but they had empty tables. Certainly, a staff problem could be. We just wanted drinks and an appetizer for a party of four. Low maintenance. Eating was good, had gluten-free options (manager came by to discuss with my wife) and drinks were solid. The rest of this review refers to the service which is inappropriate due to its decelerating seats. so said our server just didn't come over very often. I had to go in and find them to even pay them. We had to track our server at any time. Drinking went empty when you ordered it lasted forever and we had bad services overall. I want to be cl...

Best Restaurant. Three of us dined in 4 restarants over our 4 nights in the area. We dined at two in Highlands and two in Cashiers. Of the four restaurants Wolfgang's is the only one where we all agreed that the meal was excellent. Now this is not to be confused with Wolfgang Pucks they will be quick to tell you that there is no affiliation. According to the restaurant's Website, this restaurant is owned and named after German born chef Wolfgang Green?s whose career included serving as Executive Chef for the Brennan Family of Commander?s Palace in New Orleans. We started our meal by sharing the large Portobello Mushroom, stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, and topped with applewood smoked...

"Finally. After many years of enjoyable dining in Highlands, we had a TERRIBLE dining experience at Midpoint. This was actually our third, and I'm sure our LAST bad experience at this restaurant! We will not return again. I've had bad service before, for various reasons....short staff, failed equipment, orders misplaced and/or mixed up. But in most cases the management and staff were aware and extremely apologetic. Today at Midpoint they seemed oblivious to the numerous complaints from the surrounding tables and taking over two hours to complete lunch. 1/2 hr. waiting for appetizers. 20 more min, waiting for salad. Then almost an hour more waiting for the main course. Ice tea glasses not refilled for over an hr. When we asked the server pouring water about some added tea, they stated that they “only poured water” and I'd “have to ask our waiter for more tea”. And when the main courses came the pork loin was so salty it was almost inedible. The rest of the food (fish and chips, empanadas, black beans, saffron rice, etc. . we're all lukewarm at best, and nothing beyond ordinary. When contrasted with the many outstanding restaurants in Highlands (Madison's, Lakeside, Wolfgang's, Paoletti, Wild Thymes, etc. Midpoint is way out of their league. They've got to improve significantly to even become mediocre! When our expediter/server asked about our experience, we answered candidly and politely explained the poor service we had received and the below average food, she was incredulous. What is really sad is the fact that Midpoint is the latest evolution of the restaurant Cyprus which, when it was located out on Hwy. 106 (Dillard Rd. , was one of the finest restaurants in Highlands, if not the entire SE. Very, very sad indeed."
