Pork belly, Gyutan also great. Drinks.. Matcha beer, cold and hot sake reliable. Highball not so much. When soda was hot, readily replaced (gave another) with colder soda. Service is great. Sacho disciplines/trains servers well. Authentic Japanese style. Thank God this place in Teaneck. Otherwise, have to make a trip out to Manhattan.. Yakitori Totto, Torishin, Hagi... The food is absolutely delicious and brings back memories of Kyoto. The yakitoris are simple but fresh and taste just the way we like them. We will definitely return to try the sukiyaki in the winter! View menu

So, this is a very authentic place. The food is always great, and the atmosphere is just real. It still has a human feel to it because it is local and small, which is why we keep going. We had too high expectations from the good reviews and got disappointed big time.. Food was ok but expensive for the quality portion. The place was very dirty. Food drops on the floor, sticky table, dirty plates... Also we were not sure they had the same Sprite we knew. It tasted plain even after they gave us a new one. Lastly the servers were kind but did not understand the menu availability. It felt like we were ordering something they didnt know.. Parking: It was very difficult to find a street parking near the place. Then we found a free public parking lot just a 1 block down.
