"Somky's Concession is part of the Foxgardin group, named after the owner's father, who used to run an auction house with a concession stand in this same building years ago. The restaurant features a lovely garden and patio area that often hosts live music during the warmer months. The interior, with its exposed brick and original floors, exudes charm and has unique decor similar to other Foxgardin establishments. Be sure to try the barbecue options—pulled pork, ribs, and pulled pork nachos; all are delicious. The fried chicken is also a popular choice, and you can’t go wrong with the collard greens, cornbread, and Smokey's fries! The service is friendly and attentive, and they do an excellent job of getting food out quickly, especially considering the distance from the kitchen. Make sure to save room for dessert—the pie at any Foxgardin restaurant is a must, lovingly made by Jane, the chef's mother. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for a great meal in a small town!"
