"This is a very nice place to go for some breakfast. It feels fancy but the prices are average. The restaurant is always clean anytime I go. Looks gorgeous inside. One of the times, there was a man playing the piano and it made the experience a billion times better. The only negative I have is that the biscuits I got (biscuits and gravy) were undercooked. They were very doughy inside and it was a little tough to finish."

This is a fantastic spot for a tasty breakfast. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the portions are generous and delicious. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Generous portions, fresh and over all pretty good food. Grilled fish tacos needed a bit more flavor on the actual fish. The chicken sandwhich and tenders were fresh and crispy but way too oily. Service and atmosphere were great.

We visited this restaurant on a busy Sunday afternoon and only had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The ambiance was enhanced by a live piano player, which added to the relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent, with attentive waitstaff. The food was outstanding, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. View menu

every time I have the opportunity to recommend a restaurant in the elgin area, I recommend Alexander’s. I never ordered anything I didn't like. it is always fast and it is always delicious. I was so grateful for them about the pandemic because they stayed open and kept my job afloat! I'm probably going one or two weeks. I love it!

When my family mentioned going to this restaurant, I assumed it would be just another diner. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic, as was the atmosphere. They took their traditional Greek diner and added a few touches, such as a live piano, beautiful decor, and Intelligentsia coffee. Other restaurants could definitely learn from them.

It had been years since I was here, I use to love coming here the food was great. I went yesterday and highly disappointed with the Southwest Skillet it was very Bland and the frozen chicken that is actually NOT grilled was highly disappointing no type of seasoning it had that Tyson chicken cooked in the microwave type of taste . Our waiter was awesome I wish I remembered his name. Food: 1 View menu

Always a nice pleasant experience at Alexander’s. The food is delicious. Coffee menu is great and good quality. I always get the hazelnut latte with whipped cream. My favorite pancakes are the cinnamon roll. The serving staff is well trained. One of the boss boys, Guadalupe has always treated us so nicely and makes sure our area is cleaned and our drinks are full. Overall, always a great experience!

We went there for breakfast and everything was exquisitely prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients. Our server Liz M. was very attentive without being overbearing. Every time we needed something she was right there to make sure our breakfast was an enjoyable meal. This while understanding that we were not in a hurry and wanted to catch up on conversation. Hope to visit again soon and be served by Liz M.

"Just moved to South Elgin from Batavia and have been to all the best Thai places in Chicago and more I’m confident. I lived in Hawaii along many Asians for over 10 years so feel I know what’s up. Tried this randomly by searching online and went for it. Was glad to see lot of local Asians eating there that’s always a good sign. Hearing someone order papaya salad was also a good sign. It’s a Thai staple and many places that claim to be Thai don’t offer that dish and very lame to me at least. I ordered pad se ew with tofu medium spicy which is my test to see since have eaten this dish all over the world in different Thai restaurants literally. I ordered a papaya salad of course Thai style not Lao style which is morea fishy…they asked how hot I wanted on scale of 1-10. I said 5 and normally can easily handle medium spicy. This was very spicy really so would order a 3 next time. It was really good though and suffered through it. Pad Se Ew was with really nice too a bit oily and not the best I’ve eaten, but good. Tofu was a bit too fried and hard for my liking and just not a fried tofu fan, but good overall. I had the Pad Thai as well and not bad…not my favorite place for that one for sure so I would avoid it there personally and opt for something else. Their Pad Se Ew 100% more tasty. It was a bit dry and again fried tofu so just not a fan. Worth going for sure very authentic and if you want spicy auntie cooking definitely won’t hold back the heat! Cucumber salad was more lettuce than cucumber so would a sour that personally too. Had much better personally at other Thai restaurants, but also appreciate the differences too. Tom Yum soup super yummy! Very friendly staff too and great service which means more than anything usually for me. I always say I would rather go somewhere with amazing kind service and decent food over horrible service and amazing food."
