"great service, good food, but in our own well overpriced. also there was a very loud 40th birthday party (20 people) very close to us. the service was welcoming, very friendly attentive. we had both the filet steaks they were excellent, but certainly not exceptional enough to guarantee $60 each. we had a beer, 3 cocktails 2 glasses wein the total bill was over $400. we are from Great Britain but understand that nyc is expensive, but we have much better value for money in the numerous times we have eaten over our 10 visits in this wonderful city"

I ordered a porterhouse for two, and it was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent too!

Everything was delicious, especially the Filet. Cooked perfectly and with a lovely Marchand de Vin sauce.

Very pleased with service and food. Wished they had more seafood selections although it’s a steak place. Will go back again. View menu

overall experience of minute one! steaks are delicious. you can feel that the cook puts the heart in the food. we also had scallops with avocado mashkartoffels, flat-star and couple drinks. eat all fresh n top notch quality. they can ask for drinks that are not in the menu. will definitely be back!

Good setting for a business meeting. Wasn’t very crowded, but then again it was a weekday. I ordered the rack of lamb with mashed potatoes, and it was possibly the best I’ve had so far! The appetizers were really good too- we had the steak tartare, fried calamari and Escargot. Overall good experience. View menu

the restaurant certainly lived up to its reviews. the steaks were perfectly cooked. the escargot appetizer was absolutely wonderful. my man doesn't like escargot, but he has blown up the sauce because it was so delicious. the ointment was enough to be divided. also enjoyed the specialties cocktails. the atmosphere was very old school and the dinner music was not too loud we will definitely be back

Came here with my wife for the first time tonight. Food and service was excellent!! Wife got the petite NY Strip and I got the 16oz. We shared the sautéed mushroom mix and the creamed spinach. We’re from Texas and so our bar for steak is very high and Amber did not disappoint excellent!!Spinach and mushrooms were wonderful as well. We got reservations for 4:30 and were seated at once. We’ll be back!!

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
