"My buddy and I went here after reading it was midtown’s sports bar online. We came for the BruinsLeafs game which was put on TVs that I saw from our table. We asked to get the sound and were told that the sound only goes on for the Yankee game from the bartender. I’m sorry, but a playoff game that at least patrons including two Leafs fans in gear are there for when nobody is into the Yankee game is lame. It’s a sports bar and you’d rather have Fly Like An Eagle playing? Come on.Also the food was just ok. There are too many menus we weren’t given the bar menu which didn’t have those items on any other menu we were given and only the filet sliders we got were decent. The pizza was limp and the cheese slid off. The chicken pot pie had a square piece of crust that didn’t cover the dish like of chicken pot pies. And the chicken looked too processed in its cube form. The one area that this place excelled was the service. We got our drinks quickly and we were always asked if we needed anything. Very prompt and friendly service"

It was great- not crowded at all, so I could pick what sports game to watch. Brunch is awesome and they are flexible with what you order, View menu

My sister was visiting and I took her there for dinner. She loved the place and the food. We were able to talk while watching a Yankees game and Stanley Cup game on the big screens. I eat there quite often. It’s one of my favorites.

I had a wonderful evening with long-time friends at this restaurant on 4/15/19. The staff, especially Sully, Connie, and Tanya, were warm and friendly. The food was delicious and the music was the best, creating a delightful ambiance. It saddens me to think that this great local spot will not be around much longer. I send my best wishes to Patrick and his fantastic team. Thank you. - Patrice Murphy Tuohy

In terms of the food, we found it to be just average. There were multiple menus available, and we weren't given the bar menu which had items not listed on the other menus. The only decent item we tried was the filet sliders, as the pizza was soggy and the cheese kept sliding off. The chicken pot pie had an oddly shaped crust that didn't fully cover the dish, and the chicken looked processed and in an unnatural cube form. The one shining aspect of our experience was the service. Our drinks were brought to us promptly, and the staff consistently checked in to see if we needed anything. The service was friendly and efficient, which we appreciated.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
