"Someone please explain how this place has such good reviews because I just don?t get it. We?ve given it 3 chances now and the verdict is in-it?s not good. The ingredients they use are lower quality and don?t match the price point, the antipasto plate consisted of strictly pickled vegetables and two boiled eggs-thats it. Nobody in our group of 4 ate it. When we asked the waitress about it, she just replied ?sorry it was all that was left?. At least our waitress was nicer"

Love this place! Every time I'm in town I make sure to stop by here because it's delicious and actually reasonably priced. Some of the pasta dishes are really oily, but I'm not on a diet so it doesn't bother me any! Glad to see it made it through the pandemic and is still open. Definitely stop by if you're in the mood for Italian.

This place nails it every time we have been. Usually I get the steak as they cook it perfect, its a huge cut and super great price. I have had 5-7 things and every time its great. Their service is also always top notch. We went once during COVID when we could not sit at the bar so the set us up with a high top against the bar and worked around us on the floor. They also make a killer espresso martini.

If review was based on food alone the rating would be 4 stars. However, the meal was ruined by the server. She was one of the most rude servers we have experienced. There was another server who did help her. When she came to check on our table, she was delightful and did not make us feel as if we were inconveniencing her like co worker. Bacchus may need to consider hiring more friendly servers to take care of their customers. View menu

My partner and I tried Bacchus while visiting Richmond. We were both very pleased with the ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious food. I tried the shrimp and salmon, my boyfriend had the steak with gorgonzola, and we split the brussel sprouts as an appetizer. We left full and happy, with the portions being very generous for the price. I?d recommend if you?re looking for a fine dining experience in a cozy and relaxed setting.

The drinks were amazing! We got the Cesar salad as a starter and it was delicious! For entrees I got the chicken alfredo and I loved it! My husband got the shrimp and scallops in brandy sauce and wasn't impressed. We also got two sides, russet potatoes and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were over cooked and the potatoes didn't taste like much. Overall, I enjoyed the experience but I don't know that I would go back or recommend it to anyone.

"I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I have to say I was very disappointed in my dining experience at Adarra. It’s difficult to get a reservation there, so once I was able to, I had extremely high expectations. The drinks were excellent, so no complaints there. The food, however, was not. We ordered the toasted almonds, peppers, cheese plate, tuna belly, anchovy dish, tomato salad, and gnocchi. The almonds and peppers were good, although I have to say they were on the simpler side. The tuna belly made me think I was eating quality tuna from a can soaked in olive oil. That’s the best way I can describe it. It was a bit tough and on the dry side, and I didn’t finish it. I don’t usually eat anchovies since I’m not a fan of the typical fishy taste, but was assured that their version wasn’t fishy at all the way they prepare it. I ate a piece or two but couldn’t finish it. Soaking the anchovies in olive oil did not hide the fishy taste. Some people may like that fishy taste, but I definitely didn’t. The cheese plate was okay. The crackers weren’t anything special, and the amount of cheese was pretty minuscule. The tomato salad was actually the only thing I ordered that was delicious, and the only thing we actually finished. After being at the restaurant for almost two hours, the gnocchi had still not come out. We told our waitress we didn’t want it and decided to leave. I heard so many great things about Adarra and had such high hopes. But after such a disappointing meal that we paid over $200 for, we will not be returning."
