The food was not fresh at all. The vegetables tasted overcooked, and the fried wontons were stale. However, the wonton soup was good and served hot. Overall, we were quite disappointed.

"El Paso’s food and presentation of the food is by far the best especially if you want to compare it to La Carreta. Now the colorful look of La Caretta is attractive, but as far as the quality of the food and service goes, you won’t go wrong with El Paso, they give you beans and salsa when you first come in. The staff constantly checks on you from the server to the manager they work well as a team. I usually get the veggie quesadillas and they are perfect every time. I’ve even been there right before close and everything was fresh. They could use a little splash of color to brighten up the place but other than that amazing food and service."

I went there to eat with my little boy at around 4pm in the afternoon after I got off work and we were greeted as soon as we walked in with the biggest smiles(you don't see that very often anywhere nowadays). Everything was clean and there wasn't alot of people dining in when we got there. Our waiter was very kind, thorough, and got us our food extremely fast. We ordered a bubble tea $5.50, Rocky shrimp appetizer $7.25, and the chicken hibachi dinner $13.95(the meal came with a salad onion soup). Everything was fresh tasted great except for the soup. Overall I would recommend this place because it's one of the best restaurants in Laplace."

"I had a wonderful experience at this charming and peaceful little restaurant. I started with the soup of the day, which featured finely diced tomatoes and had an excellent flavor, beautifully presented. It wasn't overly rich with heavy cream, which I appreciated, though it was on the salty side—something I personally enjoy, but others might find it a bit excessive. For my main course, I tried the Petra pasta, which was generously loaded with seafood, paired with a cream sauce that might be considered slightly excessive, but I loved it. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the portion size was very generous. The waitress was polite and attentive, maintaining just the right distance to ensure I felt looked after without being intrusive. The surrounding shopping plaza may not be the most picturesque, but this restaurant is definitely worth a visit."

"Went with a group of 30 people for lunch. The staff handled it very well. Tables were setup before we got there. Orders taken. Food delivered to the tables in good time considering the crowd. The owners were from Kenner Seafood and you could tell. Friendly,Good food, good prices. I got grilled fish dinner with grilled veggies of broccoli, carrots,etc., hush puppies. Hubby got the fried fish, fr fries, hush puppies, coleslaw. Everything was good."
