"New year dinner with my friend, eating is great. the service sucked, not only the waitress in my order wrong, she never said sorry and gave me attitude. She barely checked for us and just upset the whole time. even if eating is really good, I love going here, but it was dead in recent times and we sat in a stand where the padding was a cracked and fell apart. bathroom not filled with paper or linen. I don't want to go to a place where the food is good, but they don't have any money to repair their stands or no one can fill the soap dispenser or paper in a bathroom. I was very disappointed and it was sad. I am also a Perks member"

Always a great option either for a fun night out with friends or a family get together. The bar is very inviting and they have great Happy Hour options! Check it out.

New menu with some new items, but mostly it will make it easier to see what beers are on tap. Their extensive beer list is easier to update frequently because the new menu can be printed daily. Blackfinn always meets expectations

total. very nice. I ordered the garnel and grits and although not like what they get in the south, it was still good. my man had the ribs he had enjoyed. first our order came out wrong and partly came out, but it did not take long until it could be corrected. we would probably try to eat there again. Breakfast with Santa was awful. Our food was cold, the hostess told us Santa would walk around and sat us in the other room than where Santa was. While visiting Santa our drinks were cleared away. I ordered coffee which was also cold. later we left fairly disappointed, the staff was completely unprepared.

unfortunately they do not use open table anymore. this app is how I discovered blackfinn. I always use opentable when I make reservations as long as blackfinn will not be on opentable, I will not eat here. to happiness there are some other good decisions in the opposite, and more that are not so close, but are just as good.

Unfortunately, Blackfinn is no longer available on OpenTable, which is how I originally found this restaurant. Since I always use OpenTable to make reservations, I will have to find another dining option in the area. Luckily, there are several other good restaurants nearby, and some equally impressive options that may be a bit farther away. View menu

In general, our experience at the restaurant was very good. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which, while not quite authentic Southern style, were still enjoyable. My husband had the ribs, which he really liked. Initially, our order was incorrect and only partially came out, but the staff quickly rectified the situation. We would most likely consider returning to dine there again.

I had a New Year's dinner with my friend at this restaurant. The food was delicious, but the service was awful. The waitress got my order wrong and never apologized, instead giving me attitude. She barely checked on us and seemed annoyed the whole time. The restaurant used to be one of my favorites, but it has been empty lately. We were seated in a booth with cracked padding. The bathrooms were not stocked with paper or soap. It's disappointing to see a place with great food unable to maintain their facilities. I was really let down as a perks member.

"Absolutely fabulous, I 'm SO looking forward to coming back. The restaurant is small, so luckily they weren 't super busy when we walked in. We got greeted and seated right away. I had green tea to drink, and started with miso soup, gyoza, and the coconut shrimp. The miso was very simple--not even sure if there was tofu in it or I just didn 't get any. But good flavor none the less. The gyoza wrapping is definitely made in house. The sauce that comes with it is great, and the order comes with 5. The coconut shrimp though--that 's where it 's at. I 'm not sure exactly what sauce they put on it but I loved it as did my boyfriend. Some of the shrimp have the tail already cut off which I appreciate. For sushi we couldn 't make up our minds as they have so many good sounding options. We limited ourselves to four rolls though. My pick was the butterfly madam as I 've been super into lobster and crab lately--this is the one on the very left of the photo. Lots of good flavor, just hard to eat a piece in one bite, so if you 're going on a first date, stay away lol Next is the Godzilla roll which is always a safe bet. It was creamy and good. The toro blue fin was my boyfriends choice, and the mango is extremely fresh, the truffle oil is a unique factor I 've never had on sushi before but definitely want again. I 'm not super big on tuna but I could handle this roll. The last one (very right) is my personal favorite--the crunchy melt. I could eat this every day. I 've had mozzarella cheese melted on sushi before and it 's one of my favorite things, but can 't find everywhere. This place does it the best. If you check in on Yelp, you also get free ice cream! We were too full to do that, but maybe next time when we come back we can try to save some room."

"If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would! My husband is a vegetarian, and I have strict medical instructions to reduce my sugar and simple starch intake. Bistro Chen offers a fantastic variety of tofu dishes, and they even provide brown rice upon request for their sushi items. Their Dim Sum is the best in the suburbs! We especially love their Chinese broccoli, which can be steamed or stir-fried based on your preference. It is always incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The stir-fried baby bok choy is also highly recommended. If you're in the know, make sure to try the Ong Choy when it’s available. This water hyacinth might sound exotic, but there’s no need to be intimidated. Its flavor is a delightful blend between kale and spinach, and it's simply stir-fried with a hint of garlic for the perfect taste. Another must-try vegetable is the Sichuan green beans. The chef skillfully incorporates Sichuan peppercorns along with red chilies, garlic, and other ingredients, creating a depth of flavor that enhances the crisp-tender string beans. We’ve become so addicted to them that we order this dish every time we visit. Additionally, their sushi is incredibly fresh, generously portioned, and perfectly balanced between rice and fish. Their sushi rolls are creative, fun, and above all, DELICIOUS! The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, always happy to answer any questions we have about the availability of certain dishes. We can’t wait to return!"
