"I have been coming to this location since I moved to the neighborhood in 1993. It was known as Más Que Pan back then, but despite the name change I have rarely been disappointed by the items I get here all the time: Ham cheese is usually warm and yummy, and today was no exception. Coffee is usually robust and flavorful, and the rainbow cookies a delightful treat, but I have had some stale ones in the past. So, if I have been coming here for almost 30 years and proclaim to enjoy the food, why the low rating? One reason: Roaches. There were 2 roaches roaming in the pastry display. I did take photos and video, but choose not to post publicly. I am hoping management sees this review and quickly handles this matter because I want to be able to return to my old neighborhood sandwich/cookie/coffee spot one day, but not until that matter has been rectified, and I can add at least 2 more stars to this review. If anyone wishes to see the videos and/or pics to confirm, DM me."

Their Tiramisu Cake is fantastic! I've been purchasing it for every birthday party I attend.

Ladies behind the counter are very bad mannered. The food could taste great but if you get some food with attitude it goes bad very quickly.

My cousin ordered a flan, but unfortunately, it had a hair in it. He also bought some pastries that were stale. It was such a waste of money, and I will never return to this place. View menu

I ordered a Cuban sandwich and there was nothing Cuban about it. Too much Mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, ham and pernil. No mustard and no cheese. We also ordered a beef quesadilla which was yummy.

I purchased some cannolis that were covered in mold! My friend and I got really sick after tasting them because they were strange and chewy. When we returned to get a refund, the woman at the counter argued with us and insisted we keep another item we had ordered. It was an awful experience overall.

I been coming here a little under a year as I live close a block away and other than one time getting a coffee instead of an espresso shot it’s been great. The pastries are delicious (pastellito guayaba is my favorite followed by conolis) and the tres leches cake is delicious (I got strawberry filling).Definitely surprised at some of these negative reviews. I’ve come in here dozens of times (for coffee mostly but probably for food like half those times) and I’ve never had anyone be rude to me. I’ve also never had anything I didn’t like, just have a preference for some over others.Only thing I haven’t done is dine in, it looks kind of small for that but otherwise 5 stars. View menu

I decided to stop by while I was campaigning in the neighborhood, and I was really impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, and the menu had plenty of great options. I found the prices to be very reasonable, and they accept all forms of payment, including Apple Pay, without any extra fees for card transactions. There is a 4% charge for credit card payments, but it’s definitely worth it, especially since the overall cost is so low that it hardly impacts your wallet. The customer service was excellent as well; I was attended to promptly and respectfully, and my food was clearly prepared with care. If I'm ever in this area again, I will definitely return! Plus, there's a wide selection of...

I've been coming here for nearly a year since I live just a block away, and aside from one instance where I received a coffee instead of an espresso shot, my experience has been great. The pastries are fantastic—my favorite is the guava pastelito, followed closely by the cannoli. The tres leches cake is also delicious (I opted for the strawberry filling). I'm genuinely surprised by some of the negative reviews. I've visited this place dozens of times, mostly for coffee but also for food about half of those visits, and I've never encountered rudeness from the staff. I've always enjoyed what I've ordered, though I do have my favorites. The only thing I haven't tried is dining in, as it seems a...

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
