"I recently stopped by a restaurant in Morgantown while driving through and noticed that not much has changed since my college days ten years ago. You really need to know which dishes they excel at and which ones to avoid. The good food here is excellent, while the bad food leaves much to be desired. During my college years, I always ordered the buffalo chicken hoagie, and I decided to go with that again on this visit. I was pleased to find that it remains really tasty. The chicken tenders are consistently good, and the buffalo sauce has a fantastic flavor. They also top it off with mozzarella cheese, which adds a delicious touch. Plus, the hoagie bun holds everything together perfectly."

I never write bad reviews, but I feel like people should be warned about this placeI am in town for work and staying at a hotel.

Unique spot. Cheap beer, cheap happy hour! I've never been able to buy a Big Timber IPA for $2 at a bar, so you know I'll be back.

Great service, great prices, great food. Everyone was really friendly and we got food and drinks for a great price. Will definitely go back for the Philly cheesesteak. View menu

Don’t waste your time or money here. $5.50 for this amount of food?! I thought this was supposed to be a college hangout. College students don’t have that kind of money. $7.50 for a burger that doesn’t even come with fries??! Nope. Won’t be back.

I have faith in campus canteen. I order a cheese steak and it tasted good, but barely had any meat and cheese on it. The fries are excellent. My one friend got a fried chicken gyro and that looked awesome. Good drunk food, little over priced. Just really wished they put more meat on the cheese steak.

Well my friend and I scamper on down to canteen on a late Sunday evening for some chicken fingers. Needless to say it tasted worst than dog food. I would rather eat deep fried kibble bits. It was $10 for wet uncooked fries as well. I really do notunderstand how you can mess up chicken tenders that bad. Overall experience was terrible. Would recommend for a cold beer tho. View menu

This is Absolutely the worst stuff, It doesn't deserve to be called food, iv ever ordered. I wish I could give negative stars! Burgers came exactly as they look here. Not even close to done (red and bloody), all broken up and literally just cheese on theminstead of what was ordered on them. Wings are over done and tough, fries were supposed to be garlic, parm, ranch and only a TONof garlic was on them. The biggest disappointment. Thanks for waisting my nursing lunch hour at work and no time to orderelsewhere

This place is fantastic! It’s a one-stop shop in Motown for all your college needs. Personally, I get all my meals here—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, I recommend the EVERYTHING BAGEL with Speck, eggs, cheese, and hash browns. It's delicious, and the best part is, they serve it all day long. For lunch, I absolutely love the Philly cheesesteak; it’s the best in the city! As for dinner, I always go for the CANTEEN SPECIAL, which is incredible. The staff is helpful and friendly, making it feel like a party every time you walk through the doors of the canteen.

"You’re stuck in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, a small town that’s mostly known for its universities and hospitals. Let’s be honest: it’s not exactly a culinary hotspot. As your stomach grumbles, you brace yourself for yet another meal that’s just meets the edible variety. But then, while aimlessly scrolling through Google, you stumble upon a place called Volcano Japanese Restaurant. Your initial thought? It’s probably as exciting as a sushi spot in West Virginia could be? Right? WRONG. Upon arrival, you step inside, and suddenly, it’s like you’ve been teleported to Legitsville, West Virginia. Population: you. The menu is a treasure map of sushi delights, authentic Japanese dishes, and intriguing drinks. Feeling adventurous, you order the Spider-Man 3 roll, fully expecting some cheesy, gimmicky sushi experience. Instead, what arrives is a giant masterpiece of crab meat, tempura shrimp, and other flavors so divine that you consider composing a haiku on the spot. Eager for more, you decide to leave some room for a second course and opt for the chicken teriyaki with rice. The portion is just right, and the flavors? Think blended, voluptuous, and savory. As you glance over at the next table, you spot diners receiving their order on what looks like a miniature carved bridge covered in sushi rolls. That’s when you realize you’ve discovered a true culinary gem, a hole-in-the-wall that’s actually a 5 out of 5 sushi palace. A spot you will be coming back to and raving to the homies about. The service? Top-notch. The waitress was so attentive, it was as if she could read your mind. The prices are shockingly reasonable for such high-quality food and an atmosphere that feels like a mini-vacation to Japan. So, if you’re currently lost in the void of Google searches, desperately seeking your next meal, stop everything. Make your way to Volcano Japanese Restaurant, and prepare for a dining experience that’s nothing short of explosive."
