"Never had a bad meal here. Great food every time. The vegetable soup and chicken salad half and half meal was wonderful. The dollar brownies are unreal. The pie filling stuffed French toast breakfast is massively delicious. One of my favorite restaurants in Greensboro. So glad the virus hasn't shut them down. Went Sunday and ate inside. We were the only customers there, but their takeout business was booming. Free fountain drinks for the delivery companies drivers was a nice touch. Their small dining room was sectioned off for social distancing, but their once booming, wait to be seated energy was sadly missing. Food was wonderful, and so glad they're hanging in there. Enjoy if you get a chance!"

I had a burger and fries, followed by a slice of cheesecake. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was really pleasant. I will definitely be returning!

The Cherry Pit has quickly become a family favorite. I treat myself to a croissant sandwich once a week. There are so many people picking up to-go orders that you just know it is good. View menu

I got the chicken pot pie and the filling was ok but the crust itself was not good. I would not recommend trying something else would be good. I would still go back and try other items. The people were very friendly.

I tried the pot roast with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes and gravy for dinner. This was topped off with a slice of delicious cherry pie with struesel. The pot roast was tender and flavorful. I'm planning to go back for another visit soon.

Solid little place, glad we stumbled upon it. Food is reasonably priced, portions are adequate and everything is clearly made from scratch. Staff is pleasant and the food arrived at our table in a reasonable amount of time; everything was at the proper temperature. We enjoyed our meal and we'll be back soon to try more of the menu! Wonderfully prepared breakfast, with a lot of food, for a very economical price. Best French toast in town and all of their pies are phenomenal! We've been coming here for years and have always gotten absolutely the best food and service available! When you read reviews take into account the people that come here often and those that simply have a piece of pie delivered and they don't like it! Somebody's wanting to complain to get a freebie!

We hadn't been to the Cherry Pit Cafe in a couple of years so we decided to go in and get dessert which was pretty good. Too many good choices! Came back the next night for dinner. My wife had chicken pot pie $12) which, she said, was very dry and more crust than anything. I had the pot roast sandwich $9 w/ discount) which was tasty moist. Very good. We both got cinnamon apples as a side. They were tasty but the apples were very sparse. More like applesauce. After the meal, we had to buss our table. If you like this, try Oakcrest on Battleground which has better food, comparable price full service. Then you can come back here for dessert.
