"They serve generous portions of gyro meat here, and it's fantastic. My wife and I ordered a Chicago dog, a pizza puff, the bomber special, onion rings, and an Oreo shake. Everything was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The bomber special and pizza puff were my favorites. The place has a great dive vibe; it’s a cozy little bar with just eight stools and a small TV in the corner, which was playing tennis during my visit (yes!). The gyro meat was chunky and flavorful, and with BBQ sauce on the bomber special, it was incredible. The onion rings are breaded, which isn’t my preferred style—I usually like batter better—but they were evenly coated and fried to perfection, with perfectly cooked, stringy onions inside. The pizza puff was amazing, boasting a great balance of cheese and sauce that made for satisfying bites throughout. The Chicago dog was good too; they used a poppy seed bun (thank goodness, I’m tired of places using regular buns—this is how a true dog should be!), though I felt the sports peppers were a bit overwhelming. The tomatoes were a little sparse, but I don’t mind that. The Oreo shake was excellent—creamy with just the right amount of icy texture. The staff was also really friendly, engaging with customers who wanted interaction while letting others enjoy their meals in peace. Overall, I’d rate this place a perfect 10/10!"

This is definitely the best gyro place around! The owner is dedicated to not just keeping this restaurant running, but also ensuring it thrives with his amazing food and welcoming atmosphere. I have so many great memories from over 40 years of dining here, and it's wonderful to see many young customers carrying on the legacy of this iconic establishment in Wilmette!

Since the late '70s through the '80s and into the early '90s, this has been my go-to spot on weekends. The gyros are the best, the service is excellent, and it's simply a fun place to be. I'm planning to take my sons and wife there soon! One suggestion: you should create an Instagram account to showcase some great pictures of your restaurant, food, and customers! Brayden said we were going to McDonald’s And when I got out of the car and saw this place I promptly pointed out that it wasn’t a McDonalds but we ate there anyway and omg it was so good, the food was pretty pricey like 7 dollar burgers but so worth it. Some of the best diner food I’ve ever ate and the guy working was awesome, amazingly nice guy and took the experience from a 10/10 to a 11/10. In total we got a hotdog, onion rings, two fries, 3 burgers, a gyro, a Nutella milk shake, and the bomber which is like a gyro sandwich with some toppings. The food was simple but delicious.
