"The restaurant is in unsanitary condition, with mouse and rat droppings found along the edges of the walls. I recommend checking the floor by the walls as soon as you enter. On one occasion, I saw the dishwasher switch from washing dishes to prepping food and back again, all while food was being prepared right next to the sink—truly gross. The new general manager seems to lack any understanding of proper management, making interactions uncomfortable. This establishment urgently needs competent leadership before it loses its standing in Austin."

The guacamole had an excess of onions, but the food and drinks were excellent.

A genuine 1950s experience featuring delicious food and excellent service, all set within a slice of American history.

This was one of my few dining disappointments in Austin. The food was just mediocre, and my friends and I all felt the same way. I have to say, though, I did enjoy their biscuit—it was really tasty. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't impress. It seems like this place used to be quite popular, but it's lost its touch.

Five stars every day, without a doubt. We miss Steve, but I always bring family and friends here when they come to visit. It's a classic spot with no frills, rich in history. Our go-to orders include the bacon, egg, and cheese tacos, crispy tacos, huevos rancheros, Bloody Marys, and of course, the biscuits and gravy with sausage crumbles. You have to try Ciscos! ❤️ View menu

I hadn’t been here in a very long time. Since before all of the nice buildings around it were there. Still has its nice vintage vibe, very retro and homey. The food is very good and the prices are great, if you’re drinking and partying on E. 6th St., this is the greatest spot to go afterwards to put something in your stomach. Very convenient location, highly recommend.

I had a great experience with the breakfast tacos, which are reasonably priced. The tacos were packed with a variety of ingredients, from sausage and chorizo to a delicious potato option. I really enjoyed my visit. The classic diner atmosphere adds a cheerful vibe to the morning. I also want to highlight that their black coffee is impressive—not just a generic can of Bustelo, but genuinely good coffee.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
