"We dined here last night. Drinks and appetizers that we had were amazing. Very well presented and finest quality of food. However, very limited menu and after the appetizers we really had no appealing choices for dinner. We inquired as to why no more tapas, because the calamari, the albondigas, bread platter were on the money! We were told that the restaurant is switching themes and tapas is out, they couldn’t tell us what was coming in. Sadly, we had our three bottles of Cava, the appetizers and we went somewhere else for dinner. The service was amazing and the food and beverage manager came to the table and spoke with us, it was a lovey experience. I think we caught the establishment in a transition period. Food (that we ate) was top knotch, service was excellent. The lack of options was a bummer."

The restaurant was good the halibut that I had was very dry and had no seasoning. But they serve took care of us. So it was overall a good experience.

We were very disappointed with the menu and left without eating. There was nothing we were interested in except the paella which is only available on Friday and Saturday.

Very small menu, however great charcuterie board and one of the best old fashioned that we have had. Staff was very polite and our hotel manager made sure that our experience was the absolute best that they could offer. Great experience!

When we arrive, could not find hostess, and our reservation was for 1230 and the table wasn’t set. Two of my guest on ordered hamburgers. The Costa Brava restaurant at Casa Monica Resort Spa had a lovely selection of dinner menu items. We tried the St. Augustine Calamari and it was a nice light appetizer. Four our main entree's my wife had the Chef's Feature: a Bronzino fish dish and I had the Filet Mignon. Each of these were very delicious. We treated ourselves to dessert and had the chocolate mousse cake. It was a small, light treat and not a huge portion. The staff at Costa Brava were attentive and ensured that we had an enjoyable dining experience.

Based upon other, available, dining options, in the Saint Augustine area, we felt that Costa Brava was overpriced, but not necessarily atypical, for a boutique hotel restaurant. We paid $12.00, for a small, round, loaf of bread. The menu options, in all categories, were highly limited and unimaginative. Main course options consisted, of one fish, one chicken, one vegetarian, and one, other, non-memorable dish. Other than the Sangria, which was passable, there was very little, of our evening's experience, at Costa Brava, that reminded us of intimate and charming dining, in the quaint restaurants, of Spain.
