"I'm the odd woman who doesn't have a thing for chocolate or a sweet tooth. Ice cream is my only guilty pleasure. Go figure! Anywho! I was in Philly for the day and had a ton of appointments, so I decided to stop at Crust to pick up a few sweet treats to hold me over throughout my day. Of course I thought it wouldn't hurt to pick up something to wind down my day as well. I settled on a Blueberry muffin, Brookie, and based on the suggestion of the cashier, the Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookie. The muffin was a hybrid of a crumb cake, coffee cake, and blueberry muffin. Sweet and not too dense, yet a lighter version of the most delectable cake!! I warmed the cookie up for a late night treat, and boy was I in for a treat. The hints of vanilla and sea salt complimented the loads of chocolate chips. Oh, and the Brookie. Remember how I said I'm the lone women who doesn't have the chocolate gene? Well, this treasure gives me temporary access to said gene! Warmed, the brownie literally melts in your mouth and the chocolate chip topping stays true to form as the silkiest chocolate chip cookie topping. Bravo Crust Vegan Bakery, Bravo!!!"

They offer a wide variety of desserts at this restaurant, including phenomenal cakes, cup desserts, chocolates, and even bandit cheese. The prices are a bit high, but comparable to other vegan establishments.

These employees here are honestly the rudest people I've ever dealt with. Super rude and have discouraged me from giving them business multiple times. I have tried to give this place multiple chances and each time I am so much more disgusted by the awful customer service.

Awesome desserts! Love the pistachio scone at my local coffee shop, so I figured I had to make the pilgrimage to the original location out here in Manayunk to see the other offerings. The worker was not very friendly, but the scone, cheesecake and coffee cake we got were awesome. Everything tastes real and I could barely tell it was made with no milk or butter.

I was looking for a vegan bakery to order a birthday cake and came across this place. I placed my order on line and there were lots of choices . My son picked the chocolate peanut butter cake . The prices are a bit steep but the cake was very good! Even my husband and other son that don't care of Vegan food choices loved the cake. Thanks Crust for the special birthday cake. View menu

I don't have any dietary restrictions, but I'm here to talk about the pop tarts. Drove 20+ minutes from South Philly for this place and it was 100% worth it because HOLY wow they are insane. I kid you not, the berry pop tart tasted EXACTLY like a Kellogg's strawberry pop tart. I don't know what kind of sorcery they use in this place to do that, but I am here for it. Will definitely be a must-stop every time I visit Philly from here on out!

My friend and I both enjoyed the baked goods at Crust Vegan Bakery. I tried the strawberry sammie and berry pop tart. The Sammie was tasty, I really love the texture of the sugar cookies, they were crisp and slightly soft in between the strawberry filling. The pop tart was good, the filling was flavorful and I enjoyed the presentation. It was topped with pink frosting and dried rose petals on top. My friend said the slice of lemon cake was good but I can't confirm because I didn't have a bite. The 3 baked goods totaled $18.63.

As someone who is lactose intolerant and has almond nut allergy its not always easy for me to find desserts and treats that taste like they're non vegan counterparts.. but Crust nails it every single time. From there cookie sandwiches with incredible frosting in between, or there pop tarts, or cakes, or there very savory bagel bombs, you absolutely cannot go wrong. And as of a few weeks ago they now have vegan soft serve! Oh, and they have waffle cones (and cake cones). It doesn't taste exactly like Dairy Ice cream, but it is so so close. I go at least once a week for cookies, but will certainly be going more with the promise of ice cream too! View menu

The pastries here are so good and there are so many gluten-free options. The service here however is so disappointing. I brought a friend of mine (who lives 40 minutes away) to the store a couple of weeks ago. She 's gluten-free so I figured she 'd love it. As soon as we entered the store we were told there 's a 2 person limit instead of welcome in . When ordering the cashier lacked enthusiasm and didn 't explain any of the items and we felt pressured while ordering. We were told close the door multiple times as well. It 's just sad that a place that is so promising has horrible customer service. The attitude in this place would make me not want to return. If the service improves this place...

My friends and I were planning a surprise for another dear friend of ours and wanted to be inclusive in our food options. Enter Crust Vegan Bakery. We were hard-pressed to find bakeshops with gluten-free cakes downtown! Enter Crust Vegan Bakery. I placed an order online for the 6-inch gluten free chocolate mocha cake. The person who helped me showed me the cake, I had no qualms except for the fact that I had to wait to eat it. This cake survived a 3.5 hr drive to the Poconos. Partly because I forsook all my belongings to protect this cake. But mostly due to 4th of July traffic. My friends and I loved the cake! We rationed leftover cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Good Lord, we were fig...
