"Our first stop for food in NY. We were just walking around enjoying the sights and saw someone cleaning the sidewalk in front of their restaurant (which had us look at the menu).Walked in thinking we would pay about 20$ per person. Nah, they offered lunch special at about 12$/plate.Loved the food. I tried 3 meats and they were all delicious. Fair portions.Honestly, best lunch of our trip and it was our first stop. I would say it's almost a bad thing since it set the bar pretty high for food quality and price ratio for the rest of the trip. We're going again for dinner next time we're around for sure."

Worst customer service, and food was stale. Food was served cold. When told to the server, he was rude. Food quality was very poor. They did not even want to give us the receipt for the payment. I would not recommend this place to anyoneFood: 1/5

2.28.23 We didn't go for the lunch specials, which I think would have been better bang for the buck. I like their Tarka Dal, but I like the smokier version better. We also had goat curry, which was flavorful and had a good amount of meat.Food: 3/5

Easily coming back here in the future to try the rest of the menu. The lollipop chicken was top tier, the mixed vegetable mushroom was sour and delicious.Butter chicken curry is mouth watering and perfect with the rice. The Chicken Malai Kabab was also really great. View menu

it is my first time to try this resto and I am surprised that it is an Indian resto that smells so good no curry smell and it is very clean. I ordered beef biryani and it surpasses my expectations. faster service and personal are friendly. this is the best Indian rest I tried in nyc

I randomly stopped by here for their lunch special one day last month and was very impressed with the quality, price, and portion sizes. It was so good, that I had to come back for a second visit for lunch the next day! Between my two visits, I ate the chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, channa Masala, and saag paneer I was happy with each of them and would highly recommend coming here for lunch.

four of us went to dinner on a Monday night. it was clean, neat, very quiet and dimly illuminated beautiful ambiente. in the walls there were also beautiful colored artworks. the service was very good. we shared the dishes we have, and they all taste good. the lamb in the lamb tikka masala was very tender. the seafood briyani had a good amount of seafood, was spicy and had many spices. the naan was great. loved my mango leti! I would definitely order them again. View menu

Post COVID Curry Heights food was very good. They abandoned their buffet style trays where you would order from and every dish was prepared in the kitchen. Of recent they went back to this. Basically as a tray runs out of meat/vegetables they just add additional product to the gravy that is in the tray. This leads to bland flavorless food. Which was the problem pre-COVID.Overall I would give 1 star but that is not fair because if you are lucky enough to get the first serving from the tray the food is actually good.

If I could, I will rate this place 10. We were told that if we would like to dine in, we need to order an entree and ordering of 4 appetizers plus deserts and drinks won't qualify us for dining. We will have to take a take out. How ridiculous it is. With 2 entree, as we were 2 of us, the revenue they would have created would be, may be $30, but with what we would have ordered, they would have created a revenue of more than $50, . No hospitality or business sense at all. But that's what you get when a random person opens up a restaurant

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
