"This restaurant has been a fixture in our town for many years, with its share of highs and lows when it comes to food preparation and quality. The ambiance has always been charming. On our most recent visit, we were pleased to find that the kitchen is once again serving excellent meals. However, we were surprised by the change in decor - black carpet and tabletops reminiscent of a diner. The menus we received were also a departure from the previous high-end presentation, more closely resembling those found in a casual coffee shop. Dante's, it's time to elevate your game and bring back the beautiful menus and table cloths that once set you apart. Your food deserves to be showcased in a setting that matches its quality and taste. Let's return to your former glory and pride in your ambiance!"

Dante's accepts reservations. Wait staff is welcoming, warm, friendly and accomodating. Always enjoyable, consistent with excellent appetizers, entrees and desserts. BYOB

We’ve been going to Dante’s for over 30 years. We’ve enjoyed Saturday night dinners, Christmas Eve dinners with family, a Communion, a bridal shower, my Mom’s 90th birthday party and my 65th. We will be going back soon. The Vitale’s View menu

Both food and service were excellent. Friendly and efficient wait staff. The three of us all had different appetizers and entrees and all were wonderful and nicely prepared and presented. Prices were excellent for the value of the meals. Will definitely return again

Food was okay. Service was poor. We brought a bottle wine which I had to pour myself, ordered an appetizer which we asked to split into 2 portions, which I ended up having to serve. Not once was our water refilled without my request….. young people serving who don’t know better. Won’t be back.

In the past, we have consistently enjoyed good food and service at this restaurant. However, on this occasion, we found that the staff was young and lacking in respect and promptness. The restaurant was not busy, so there was no reason for them to consistently overlook us throughout the evening. Additionally, the quality of the food was subpar compared to our previous visits. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining options, and we decided to dine indoors. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. There was only one waitress, who unfortunately forgot my sons' espresso, but she comped it, so it worked out well in the end. We plan to return for the veal parm and meatballs appetizer. However, it is worth noting that there is an additional charge for using Amex, which is not ideal.

We have dined at Dante's several times, each time the meal was very enjoyable. Our server, Caroline was polite and attentive. For Started we ordered Gamberi Scampi and Fig and Goat Cheese Ravioli, delicious. We've rdered thedse before, never disappoints! I was very pleased with my entree, Lemon Sole Oreganata; Chicken Breast with asperagus, tomato slice, fontina cheese, portabella mushrooms with a brown demi glaze sauce also was a winner! Followed up with deserts and cappocino, excellent. BTW, Dantes is a BYOB.

"The idea of standing in line to order your food before even sitting down is confusing and not enjoyable. It’s stressful trying to decide what to eat with people hovering around you. The staff at the front were unfriendly, arrogant, and unhelpful. When we asked to be seated instead of going down to the basement (especially since our elderly father, who’s 94, was with us), they looked at us as if we were breaking some sort of sacred protocol. Eventually, they allowed us to go to our table, where we were largely ignored by the overly numerous waitstaff. A shoutout to the person who filled our water glasses—they were very attentive and did a great job. When our server finally made it to our table and asked what we wanted to drink, I inquired about the beer options (as there was no list), and he had no idea what was available. He suggested I head down to the bar to check. My wife and I ordered a Josh Cabernet, but it was served so warm I was surprised it didn’t catch fire! My dad ordered the featured pineapple cocktail, which was definitely not worth it. The salad was the worst I've ever had—the dressing tasted and smelled like nail polish remover. The canned roasted red peppers with garlic for an appetizer were a disappointment, earning zero stars. The famed pasta with garlic oil appetizer was completely devoid of flavor. I'm guessing they used three cups of oil, and none of it was extra virgin olive oil. We ordered surf and turf, where the filet was okay, but the lobster was bland and not fully cooked. The bone-in ribeye was nicely cooked, but similarly bland, and the shrimp scampi was average; we never even received the pasta it was supposed to come with. The local corn on the cob, served as the vegetable after sitting in water for what must have been three hours, was tasteless. How do you ruin such beautiful local corn? The apple crisp was mushy and just terrible. I ordered mint chocolate chip ice cream, and guess what? Not a single chocolate chip in sight! The chocolate and vanilla ice cream tasted like it came from Friendly's. The coffee was harsh, bitter, and tasted old. Then we spent an additional 15 minutes trying to get our painfully slow waiter to bring us the check. I didn’t mention our friends’ food since I didn’t try theirs. Overall, I rate the food a 2, service a 2, and atmosphere a 1."
