"Went in for a couple of beers and were contemplating food. We felt rushed when being asked three times in 5 mins if we were ready to order. When asked for more time, we felt like we were a burden.The price of the salad didn't add up to what was put in front of us, but expensive for why it was. The other food around us looked good though.If you are wanting a leisurely drinker service with a smile, i would try somewhere else."

A good filling and tasty breakfast. And have been there a few times now for the coffee alone, which in my view is the best in town. The coffee pushes it up to four circles.

Good breakie feed. Good range of offers and a good coffee which is not so easy to fund in France. I had the sausage and egg baguette which was tasty. Would go back again and right across from the train station makes it handy if catching a train. Opens early, 7am i believe. View menu

We stopped here for a drink and some lunch after being on the mountain. The food was good. My Mrs has the fish n chips and I had a panini and a small fries(which was plenty) after tosing up between that and a burger. They were both good meals. From what I seen the burgers looked good. Good sized meals. Good service and the cheapest prices we seen around Chamonix.

chamonix is a very expensive and touristy city in summer. It is therefore difficult to find a good and cheap restaurant. There are some of them, including elevation 1904. Ambiance coffee and service (very) casual. A rather varied map (from home to caesar salad, good desserts). Good wine list. We can get out at 4 for 60 €, which is a good performance knowing that it is "goutû", as we said, and not heavy at all.
