"This was a delivery order. We have eaten at the Pacific beach location several times and it was fantastic. This was.. well it was pretty bad. There was NO cheese or sauce on the Margarita and the burrata and prosciutto was almost tasteless .. and a mess. Not to mention they were both stone cold, even though we are less than a 10 min drive from the little Italy location. At 15$-22$ per medium size pizza we think you can do better and we KNOW that your company has the ability to make amazing pizza. Time to step up and make it consistent through all your locations and delivery if you want to stay in business with repeat customers."

I loved the Sam experience. Drey was the chef that prepared our burgers, tots and drinks. The food was delicious and he was charming. A must stop for first class food and a reasonable price. View menu

I love the pizza with thin crust, nice outdoor area with great ambiance! It's call the main lobster, it's like a food court area! inside there is many food places, they have Ramen, hamburgers, pizza, tacos and gelato. The only negative is that the tables needed some cleaning.

Good not great. I was looking forward to eating here finally since I'm a little italy local but it wasn't worth it. For instance, I had the Margherita pizza and the basil wasn't baked with the pizza. I've never had basil stuck in my teeth before. If you're visiting, there's better!Food: 2/5

Hadn't had pizza in a long time and it hit the spot. 2 of shared the one pie and couldn't finish the salad, which was super fresh! We got there a little while after the food court opened and looked like we were the third to get our pizza. Service was quick with the one gentleman taking orders and making the pizza! View menu

Definitely not the best pizza but pretty tasty. Crust wasn’t the authentic Italian thin crust that I’m used to. Difficult to describe but it was thin, although it just had that distinctive US style pizza vibe to it?‍ tasted fine though! If I would add a comment, when I ordered online they offered hot chili and truffle oil. I assumed it’ll be on the side but instead they poured it on top of the pizza. Never seen that before…

I am reposting this review since I put it for the wrong location. I was disappointed. I was drawn by an ad that said that their prosciutto crudo burrata pizza was the best in San Diego. It definitely had an Italian taste, but it seemed like they skimped on the prosciutto and the cheese. It was pretty pricey for a 10inch pizza $20+ tax included) so I was expecting it to deliver on the flavor. I am hoping that this experience was an aberration and that their pizzas are not usually like this. Probably will not be back.

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
