"In short: An old-school (i.e., Americanized) dependable Chinese place that has probably cranked out thousands of plates over the years. Your grandparents would have loved it, and if you're in the mood, you will, too. Super friendly service and reasonable prices. In long: It's easy to see why they've held such a great rating, even if they're not doing much on the menu that nods to real traditional food. They're in a big supermarket parking lot with plenty of free parking, and there are plenty of tables inside. The decor runs to that red and gold pseudo-Chinese stuff from back in the day. It's friendly and homey, especially if you went to family dinners at the local Chinese place when Chinese food was still a hot new trend. You get water and hot fresh tea very quickly, along with a two-sided laminated menu printed in color. You get white paper napkins and forks before you even sit down. The tea was pretty damn good, and they have many other flavors on the menu. We checked out a little of everything from the old favorites. There are hot pots and a couple dim sum items, but mostly it's the greatest hits of Chinese food in America for the last 50+ years. BBQ pork This is the same dish at a lot of places you go, right down to the mustard/ketchup combo and dish of sesame seeds. They do offer nice thick slices, and I happen to like the stuff that all comes from the same distributor. One of these days I'll finally remember to ask for all mustard, no ketchup. Hot sour soup My late mom loved this so much that both us kids have a lifelong love of it. This one is not amazing; it's a lot of thickener and not much seasoning, even with a red pepper next to it on the menu. We resuscitated it a bit with chili paste from the condiment jar on the table. Beef with chili beans Beautifully cooked--tender, decent flavor. Sauce was kinda thick but the vegetables were crunchy still. Ate every bite. Emptied the chili paste jar here and got more. Green beans So good. Fresh, flavorful, cooked just to done without going over. Decent amount of garlic. Juicy dumplings Not house made. Kinda like the frozen soup dumplings from Trader Joe's--which are pretty good for late-night snacks, by the way. Good with chili sauce. We were out the door for 5 plates and a generous tip for about $70. It's a little bit of a haul for us, or we'd come back more often. The people are so nice, and sometimes these childhood-memory dishes are a treat, especially when they're done this well."

I had a wonderful dinner with my family at this restaurant. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was excellent as well. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 out of 5.

This is the kind of neighborhood Chinese restaurant you always hope to discover. The food is outstanding, the owner and staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is commendable. Although they're situated between Ace Hardware and the Pancake Haus, don't let the location fool you—Furi is fantastic! View menu

Fantastic dining experience! The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. I dined in for dinner, and my meal cost between $30 and $50 per person. I’d rate the food a solid 4 out of 5, with service and atmosphere both getting a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the General TSO's Chicken and Beef with Green Beans.

We had a birthday dinner at Furi and it was a fantastic time. The owner and staff are super kind and thoughtful. The whole group liked the food, with the less adventurous eaters enjoying shrimp fried rice, chicken chow mein, and Kung Pao chicken, and the others liked the beef with broccoli, and a couple dishes from the Specials menu. Atmosphere is relaxed. We had a great time and will definitely go back. This is a great restaurant. When you enter, the place is nicely decorated with colorful cushions on the chairs and attentive service. I have been here over ten times and love the service and food. The wonton soup is wonderful. I have ordered the soup, the broth the wonton soup has is so good. The wontons are flavorful and I could make a meal out of this. I have also ordered both fish and honey walnut prawns from their dinner menu. I agree that their fried rice has no vegetables. I actually prefer this, to the usual frozen pea and carrots medley added to fried rice at most restaurants. The portion of honey walnut prawns was generous and the walnuts were toasted. In the kitchen range, I believ...

While the service was both prompt and friendly, the food was anything but memorable—in a good way, that is. The Hot and Sour Soup wasn’t hot at all and tasted rather bland. It improved slightly with some soy and chili sauce, but that just added heat and salt; it lacked the rich flavor of a good chicken broth base. On the bright side, while most places offer about 4-5 ounces of soup, this one serves a hearty 8-10 ounces. I ordered the Mongolian Beef with a request for it to be made at a 5-star level. When I mentioned the 5 stars, the server's face lit up as if I had given the go-ahead for them to create it properly. However, when the dish arrived, I noticed it didn’t have many chilis, making...

"The Delish is in the Details MDH invited me out to lunch, so based on a recent review, I suggested Bistro 76 Cafe and Catering, in Perrinville, just north of Edmonds. They're known locally for their breakfasts (including house made cinnamon rolls on the weekends), but we're slow risers. Menu perused, five of six lunch sandwich options were approved for sharing (no mushrooms), and a trade deal was struck. Grilled Cheese and Spiced Butternut Bisque for me, and a Reuben with Sweet Potato and Ham Soup for him. We swapped soup bowls twice. The Spiced Butternut Bisque had more depth of flavor and a hint of sweetness, while the Sweet Potato's little hits of ham made it solidly enjoyable, if simpler. Our sandwiches, of good size, scored points for the artisan bread, toasted but not so crunchy as to rake the roof of your mouth, soft, fresh, rye ciabatta, the tenderest corned beef I've ever had, and white cheddar/smoked gouda and gruyere cheeses, instead of just a basic cheddar or swiss. The tomato and red onion concasse sang in harmony on the Grilled Cheese, and the guinness molasses mustard quietly hummed on the Reuben. Not only was the food tasty, but pretty, too. A zigzag of white crema across the soups, plus a dusting of spice, heightened our anticipation, even before the spoons broke the surface. Everybody knows that sandwiches taste better cut into triangles, with frilly toothpicks. We took home an order of Banh Mi Tacos for dinner (or second lunch, as a hobbit might suggest), because they sounded so good, and will be going out of rotation for a while. Also, since so many folks ask for breakfasty goodness midday, a couple lunch item slots may make way for more morning foods. One of the chefs kindly chatted with us for a bit, and thus we learned that one can sometimes purchase their lemon curd, jam, or salad dressing to take home. Let me sing you a song of lemon curd, with choruses on fresh squeezed juice, butter, sugar and egg yolks, cooked into custardly thickness. Bistro 76 caters, too. When there's kindness in the kitchen, it comes out in the food. Read Seattle Refined's review for more background on the restaurant and its team. P.S. We will soon be getting up early for breakfast on a weekend, if I have anything to say about it. The pictures I've seen of their cinnamon rolls give me hope that somewhere other than my own kitchen, a moist and substantial cinnamon bun is being produced. Most are too fluffy, and dry. That's the reason I still make homemade yeast rolls for holiday meals, too."
