I was pleasantly surprised by this traditional pizzeria. Despite being new to offering vegan options, their expertise in making pizza was evident in the delicious crust and tasty tomato sauce. Our experience at Gino's was a bit disappointing as it seemed like the food lacked effort. The cheese pizza was decent, but the cheese was sparse and the sauce was overwhelming. The baked ziti was unimpressive, basically just saucy noodles with cheese on top that tasted like a homemade dish. The broccoli rabe had woody garlic bits left in, making it unpleasant to eat. Given the price, we expected better quality. Additionally, we were catcalled four times during our walk to and from the restaurant, which was disturbing and unacceptable. The food definitely did not make up for the harassment.

The most unpleasant part of the experience was being harassed by men on bikes yelling from their porches four separate times on the way to and from the restaurant. It was completely unacceptable and made the dining experience not worth it.

I have my usual careful order, double check with the server to ensure that the crust and sauce were also vegan. I expected the typical Daiya cheese, but this facility used Violife, and it was delicious. The owner came by to talk to me. His wife is milk-free and they have made a point of finding the best mozzarella. He told me that she experimented with vegan desserts and added something to the offers. The baked Ziti was just saucy noodles with some cheese blown up and tasted like something we could have just made at home. We arranged the broccoli rave, and the woody garlic trunks remained, so we had to constantly fish it out of the mouth. For the price, I wish they had taken more time to make those articles a little better.
