"I absolutely love Great Basin! The atmosphere is always pleasant, and the staff is fantastic. I frequently recommend the jalapeño wontons; they're my absolute favorite appetizer, especially with the honey jalapeño dip. I ordered the salmon tacos, which were incredibly fresh and paired perfectly with the mango salsa. My mom had the salmon bowl, and I couldn't resist trying it as well; it had a wonderfully juicy piece of salmon. My favorite beer there is the Chilebeso, which has a nice jalapeño flavor, but I also tried the Heat of the Moment, made with habanero and pineapple—another great choice!"

Icky IPA is a must try. I love it that they support Nevada WolfPack.

Great food as usual. Nevada gold is perfect for me. I might suggest that the wait staff have a morale ralley before the doors open. They all seemed a little less happy to be at work this time. View menu

We had great service but both of our burgers were flavorless. Mine had no seasoning and no sauce, and my husband’s bbq bacon burger had no seasoning and barely had any sauce. This is the third time the food has been disappointing :

The beer was excellent, but the service was extremely slow, especially for a Monday. Unfortunately, the fried pickles were among the worst I've ever had; they were served on a bed of lettuce and only lightly sprinkled with Parmesan, which was quite strange. They tasted undercooked and lacked seasoning. Overall, it was a very odd dining experience.

Great Basin Brewing Co. is our go-to place in Reno. We adore the beer, the food, and the friendly atmosphere. My favorite dish is the Black and Blue burger with garlic fries, but the fish and chips are fantastic as well. Their pizza is also top-notch. Whether I'm having an Icky, a Whoop Ass Wit, or the I Am Gruit, the beer is always of the highest quality. View menu

This is a fantastic spot! My Reuben sandwich was delicious, and everyone else in my group enjoyed their meals as well. I also had an incredible beer that really hit the spot. The service was a bit slow since the place was crowded, but that’s understandable. The staff was friendly and accommodating despite the busy atmosphere. Overall, it's a great pub to check out!

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about both the beer and food selections, and they recommended trying the French dip with brew au jus, paired with the Leave No Trace beer—it was fantastic! If you're unsure about which beer to choose, feel free to ask for a sample; they'll happily offer you a flight to taste before you decide. The restaurant, bar, and restrooms are all clean, spacious, and inviting. It definitely has a great vibe, making it a wonderful place to return to time and again.

"Last night I experienced the most unscrupulous experience I have ever had with a restaurant with the service at the Wok. I am so offended by their actions; I can say we are honestly done with visiting the restaurant in the future. I’ll start with we have been getting dinner on our way out of town every month or so from the Wok for years. Their food is generally very good, but we have had a few times where the food missed the mark. Everyone has an off day so we keep going back, until last night. Their online ordering did not work, so my wife called in an order while I was driving through Reno and I stopped by to pick it up. There was a little confusion when I arrived as they ahad three to go orders on the counter. It seemed they worked everything out and I paid for the order and left to head home. Twelve minutes later I get a call. It’s the Wok and they tell me they had given me the wrong order and asked if I could return. The employee apologized profusely and since we wanted what we ordered, I went back. I arrived at the restaurant and took the order they had provided back in and they checked the bags. The cashier told me she charged me the wrong amount as she had rung up the wrong order. I asked what the difference was (first bill was $63.00 for four entrees and some potstickers) and was told the new total was $94.00. The last order we had was for the same items and was just under $70, so $94 was a shock. The cashier told me she had told my wife the wrong amount and apologized. She also offered a $10 discount. I paid the bill and said I would wait for our food. Much to my shock, I watched them empty the items they had given me, place it on the counter and everything was what we ordered. One entrée had spilled when they took it out and they quickly put it in another bag and then with a big smile handed me the items I already had. I said, “so my order was correct but the amount you charged was wrong?” I asked why did you lied to me to get me to come back. I was told that I would not have paid if they did not lie about why I needed to come back. I was incredulous and decided the best thing to do was to just leave. So, 35 minutes after I left the first time, I was on my way again. Once I got home, II asked my wife what the total was that they provided when she called in the order. She said they specifically told her they did not have a total and I would provide that to me when I picked up the food. Yet another lie. I tallied up my items and came up with a total of $68.75, certainly less than what I originally paid, but clearly not the $94.00 they tried to charge. So tonight, I called and ordered the same items and was told the order would be $76.57, yet a different amount. I promptly told them no thank you. Most restaurants would honor their mistake. With that said, if they called and told me I paid the wrong amount, I would have made it right. But instead, they lied to me, clearly tried to overcharge me and then gave me a discount that was still more than the price for the same food 24 hours later. Their actions were inappropriate, uncalled for and unscrupulous. Over the last year, we visited this restaurant 10 times, but last night was the last time they get any business from us."
