Hammond's Gourmet Ice Cream

I love this ice shop gives you the opportunity to try different flavors in smaller quantities. You have a wide selection of ice cream to choose and are open late. I recommend this place to every ice cream cutlery.

we have made the 32 ice cream flight challenge at hammonds gourmet ice cream in the north park san diego. they have some of the best ice in California and we love that they can do flights from mini seas. also the freshly made waffle cones are hard to resist!

I recently tried some of the best ice cream I've had in a while at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the Chamango treat I ordered was like pure candy - I could easily eat a whole gallon of it. Even though one of the ladies with me is lactose intolerant, she couldn't resist trying the cookies and cream flavor because it was just that good. View menu

The staff at this restaurant were very friendly and accommodating. They had a great selection of vegan menu options. The sorbet was a bit too icy for my taste, but the vegan chocolate was incredibly creamy. I appreciated that they allowed me to use the restroom without any issues. Additionally, they had the option to pay using a card so you don't have to worry about tipping, which is great for those who may be concerned about it.

Okay, so I 'm giving Hammonds a 4 because I 'm taking into consideration not just their ice cream but the friendly workers, the hip and trendy North Park location and the cleanliness of their store. But to be honest I really wasn 't wowed but any of the ice creams in my flight. Idk maybe it 's just me and my tastebuds but for how much it was I was expecting something to stand out to me and I 'm sad it didn 't. I also tasted some from my husband 's flight too and didn 't care for it either. I 'm glad I at least tried it though because I 've been wanting to go there for the longest.

I am not sure why this place currently has a bad rating; someone must have gone to a free day or they had a bad day themselves. before the decision we wanted to eat ice or even dinner, my friends and I went by and had to stop checking where the delicious smells came. They were pretty busy when we came in, but almost everyone was super friendly for us or others around us. for a small shop they have a surprising amount of aromen. that was hard to decide, so thank you for the good rehearsals. I realized later that I should have made an ice-flight (yes, obviously this is a thing), so I must probably go back to try more ice! View menu

Hammond's is the perfect ice cream place to be able to try and share as many flavors as you want. The sell ice cream flights which come in all different sizes and are extremely affordable. We got a flight of 4 and it came out to be around $8 which is a steal for being able to try different flavors, plus you get a cake cone with each! There are a good amount of flavors to choose from so with the fact that you can have a flight (up to 32 flavors I think is the max? , mix and match galore!The ice cream itself itself is good but nothing crazy. The texture is soft and I enjoyed the flight experience. Pound for pound there are other slightly better ice cream shops, but I would never pass up a chan...

After a family member told us about Hammond's and I saw vegan chocolate, I could not wait to give it a try. I ordered vegan chocolate and POG sorbet, my two favorite flavors, making me a tough critic. The vegan chocolate was incredible rich and creamy. It was definitely on the darker side (which I love) and not bitter, but my boyfriend, who dislikes dark chocolate, was not a fan. The POG was disappointing. The flavor was good, but the texture was… bad. It is difficult to explain. It was gritty and felt like it was coating my teeth, almost like eating cooked spinach. However, the chocolate was so good I will go back, and give another sorbet a try. The staff was friendly, and the vegan options...

Omg Im not even really an ice cream lover and I'm dying to go back again, it's only been 2 days!I set up a this or that type date night and this was our cold dessert option. It's outside of the area we usually stick to for date night but we had the time! So glad we went!!There were plenty of flavors, my husband did a Sunday and I did the mini flight. I chose 4 flavors, dark chocolate espresso, chocolate birthday cake, the Irish cream baileys and raspberry sorbet.Admittedly I got the baileys flavored one for my husband, I don't like the alcohol and I also didn't like the ice cream, but my husband likes both.
