"I stumbled across this place on door dash, but I’m beyond grateful I did. This food was so dag on good I had to remember to stop and breathe. I am one of the most pickiest eaters I know, and the Brown stew fish had me eating like a GROWN MAN! I’m a petite little woman, and rarely submit reviews, but I had to go out of my way just to make sure the people of Miami knew that this is a hidden gem! Also that special ginger juice Is a MUST buy! Got just the right amount of sweet to curb that ginger root tang!"

The jerk chicken was burnt and lacked sauce, and the red beans and rice were dry. I would rate this experience 1 star.

The meal options are impressive, but as a Jamaican, I found the food to be just average. However, it was prepared and delivered quickly.

The curry chicken tasted homemade, as if he chopped the chicken himself. I ordered the small portion, and it was just right, plus the patty on the side was amazing—absolutely delicious! Thank you, Island Boyz, we're on the rise. Everything tasted fresh and made with care! View menu

"If you want to find, arguably, the best bandeja paisa in Miami, this just might be the place. Not your typical hole in the wall, cheap eats but definitely a quaint and enjoyable sit down experience. Ventured here after my craving got too intense and I went to old faithful Yelp for guidance. Although relatively new, the pictures of the food really sold me and I brought some hungry souls along with me. We ordered some empanadas Colombianas, super fresh and steaming hot! The sauces they serve them with was also perfect. For entrees, we went with a Calentado Paisa the Bandeja Paisa (this one was twice the price but very hearty and more than enough for two good eaters). We also each went with some natural juices fruit limonadas coconut lime sounds odd but it works! I opted to not give the full 5 stars because of several reasons that I think they can easily fix: 1. Nicely and simply decorated but little ambiance overall adding a little authentic Colombian music or more cultural touches could help 2. The waiter was nice but kept trying to push more and more on us... even mentioning that the bandeja paisa was a decent portion but not enough for two people (it was actually more than enough and we both left stuffed) 3. Ordered a sancocho de res and although taste wasn't bad, the meat was rough and you could tell coloring had been added seems like a typical case of not having had enough time to cook it properly as it does take hours to make a proper sancocho Quality of the food is evident and I will definitely be going back to fix my next craving!"
