"Update (5 stars): Since my original post more than a year ago, this has gone from an excellent find to a two-month joy. The milkshakes are supposed to die, the food is always good, and I can't go without buying a few chocolates first. So far our favorites of Mac and cheese (we order it every time), the big fillet fish or small square fish sandwiches. Both are good. The sausage sandwich (be warned, although there is no red sauce.... That is what I prefer anyway). The grilled cheese sandwiches are perfect. We didn't like the butterfries, but I know other people love them.... We don't like butter on our fries. And the chili was nothing for us and we love chili in most places. Also.... Be careful if you order something with extra or without items, because they never seem right. We avoid this if we only order all our favorites that do not have to be changed. Original Post (5 stars) For the first time, the waitress was very helpful and provided excellent recommendations. Food was good and good value. They offer a little of everything to eat and we enjoyed looking at the pictures of the last Alliance Carnation Queens on the walls. Neat Link to the Alliance community. It's going to be a lot again."

I enjoyed a hot fudge sundae, and I must say, the service was quick and welcoming. The sundae itself was delightful. The next time I'm in Alliance, I plan to go back and sample more of their offerings.

The prices at this restaurant are too high for the quality of food served. The deep-fry oil appeared to be old, resulting in soggy fries that had an odd taste reminiscent of fish and onions. Although they corrected my initial order, I don’t plan on returning. View menu

This restaurant has been a local favorite and family-owned for over 30 years. I visited tonight, and it was bustling due to a school fundraiser. The food was just as delicious as always. I ordered the butterfries and a patty melt, and you absolutely can't come here without trying the butterfries. They also have an extensive dessert menu, including ice cream, sundaes, shakes, and more. Everything is fantastic!

The food was excellent here! Everything was perfectly cooked and tasteful. The butterfries brought back memories when I was a child and had eaten there. The whole staff was very friendly and smiling. The best part but was dessert because we had a few pounds of their chocolate and it was amazing. I especially enjoyed the caramel chocolate, raspberry cream, as the Marshmallow. The price is low for the quality of food you receive. Give them a try!

The food was excellent here! Everything was cooked perfect and tasted great. The butter fries brought back memories of when I was a kid and ate there. All the staff was very friendly and smiling. The best part though was the dessert because we got acouple pounds of their chocolate and it was amazing. I especially enjoyed the caramel chocolates, raspberry cream, as themarshmallow. I absolutely adore Heggys! Their fries are outstanding, and the homemade candy is simply irresistible—I think I gained a few pounds just from looking at it (and of course, I ended up buying some). Heggys has been a beloved institution in Alliance, Ohio, for years, boasting the charm of a classic malt shop with ice cream sodas and burgers, all of which are fantastic. Whether you're hungry, seeking great service, or looking to grab some delicious candy for a friend, this is the place to be! I really appreciate the unisex bathroom and the drive-up window, though it's worth noting that there isn't a handicap entrance. I hope to see you there!

The soda fountain is always fantastic, and the Ben Heggy chocolates with their creamy filling are simply irresistible! Just for one meal, you can forget about being diabetic and indulge a little. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive during my visit. If you're ordering chocolates or peanuts, consider handing them an extra dollar; it’s tough for young people trying to manage expenses for things like hair color, nail salons, cosmetics, and school clothes. Speaking of school, I also donated my 62-year-old Cleveland King Alto Saxophone to the Alliance High School Music Department that day, along with my high school jacket featuring the letter "A" for Band.
