"Best bagel that i have had in 20 years! I am the biggest bagel lover and I had a New York style in San Francisco, years ago, which made me a lox lover. This was equally as delicious! The perfect toastiness, fresh, clean lox with tomatoes and (seared? capers. The wedge of lemon was a nice touch as well. I bought a chocolate babka as well so i hope that is a expertly done as their bagel was:"

I feel people are pretty harsh on HHBBBagels in Portland just plain suck.

Always exceptional bagels here! I buy extra to share with friends every time I come here. Might be the best bagels on the west coast!

Closest thing I've had to a real bagel since I moved here from the northeast. The knish was a bit mediocre though. Overall, the bagels were definitely done right. View menu

If they had a fully plant-based breakfast sandwich option (ie: veggie/vegan sausage, ‘just egg’, and v cheese) this would be my go-to. Bagels are stellar. Love that they have tofutti.

Visited this location on a Friday morning and they were pretty busy, but the employees did a decent job keeping up with the customers. I thought the bagles were good but not great. They had a decent variety of bagles. Would try again.

Best bagels Ive had in Portland! They've perfected the craft of bagel making! They aren't chewy and have lots of flavor. They put the right amount of cream cheese on the bagel and their cream cheese is creamy and delicious. Im so excited they're opening the location on 23rd close to my house! I'll be going more often now. Thanks for making amazing bagels! View menu

I can't speak on the other locations but the shop on 19th is actually pretty gross. The food tastes great but I've had to stop eating here because the workers are unsanitary. They all wear gloves, handle money, then jump back on the line without ever changing their gloves. At first I thought it was a one time thing but several of my coworkers have also brought it up!

Primarily just disappointed in the time it took to get my order. I got a plain bagel with cream cheese and it took 10 minutes. What's even kind of worse is several people in line after me got their food before me, someone even ordered a cheese plate with two bagels but it took 10 minutes to get my one item.If you're in any sort of rush I'd probably steer clear. Food is good though.

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
