"I started ordering for delivery pretty regularly for the past 2 months. One time, early on, they messed up my order and delivered a calzone when I ordered a pizza, but since then, it's been fine. The delivery guys are always nice, arrives when promised. When I call, they have my address on file (I guess they can tell by the tel#? so that's always convenient. The pizza is good, I get plain. I think it's reasonably priced and even better when you have a coupon. It still tastes good the next day too. (I would give the pizza a 4 . I like their pasta, my favorite is cavatelli and meat sauce. Both the sauce and pasta taste fresh with good portion sizes and good amount of meat in the sauce. (I would give it a 5 . I tried the garden side salad, it was OK. The greens were a little dry, but at least not wilted or brown. They add shaved carrots, slice of cucumber and onions. (I would give it a 3 ."

Very unsanitary, the same person handles your money and makes the pizza without gloves. Pizza is stale and garlic nots had mold. They over charge you for items and act like they don't understand. Would not eat there again.

This was my first and last time ordering from Highland Park Pizza. The meat tasted stale and the green peppers and onions were brown as if they came from a can. I took a chance to give them a call to complain and they were rude and discredited mycomplaints.

I am new to town so still exploring the pizza scene. Highland Pizza was pretty good. We have been there once and ordered takeout another time. The white pizza was my favorite. We had a plain cheese and siciliano. Guy on the phone and in store was great. I would not say it was the best pizza I ever had but certainly does Jersey proud.

Highland Pizza has great slices. Their Garlic Knots are awesome. I had a housemate from Milan, Italy, and she loved this place. You can't get a better endorsement than that. The Grandma slices are awesome. Sometimes I get a cheesesteak or cold sub. Chico makes the best! I have been a customer here for 27 years now, and these guys stayed open long hours right through the pandemic. Five Stars any day.

I just ordered delivery. Amazing service, quick spend, and great food! I used to not prefer them about 2 years ago but for the past 3 months they are better than anyone in Edison/highland/New Brunswick. You order a cheese steak and it comes in 2 separate boxes huge! It looks like you get 2 for the price of one! I will not order from any other spot around here for now on. Good job highland pizza! You have a regular customer now

my parents love this place and order there all the time. unfortunately that means i 'm forced to eat it when I go to visit. the chicken tenders are overdone and dry. the salad dressings are awful (specifically the honey mustard that looks like slime). the tuna panini was DRY. the chopped cobb salad was not chopped at all. I asked to sub cheddar instead of blue cheese. they send cheddar sauce. actual liquid cheese. for a salad. their fries are okay which is why they got two stars instead of one. I have never had anything decent from this place, including the pizza. theres far better pizza and such in the area, save your money and go elsewhere. View menu

This restaurant has that classic NY/NJ pizza vibe that’s hard to find in other pizzerias. You can smell the delicious aroma of pizza baking in the oven, and the friendly staff is clearly working hard to manage the flood of orders. My fiancé and I tried the classic pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, and hot peppers, along with broccoli bites, fries, and an antipasto salad. The portions were generous, perfect for sharing between two people, with plenty left over. The pizza reminded me of the pizza from Olive Branch, and we were delighted to find it came pre-seasoned with Italian spices and a touch of pepper. We were also impressed that the pizza stayed hot all the way home, even after we ha...

We just ordered from here for the first time. Our order: the three cheeseburger sliders and a cheese steak. We live about 25 mins away and we were testing out this place for an upcoming party we are having in the area to see if they would be good to order our party food from. Well the answer is no. The sliders were decent but the meat was a bit overcooked, dry and tasteless. The curly fries were good but a bit old tasting. If they were fresh they would have been awesome. The cheese steak, well it wasn't really a cheese steak, it was more of a salad with meat which isn't what we ordered. Since we don't live that close it wasn't worth our time trying to get a new order made and we ended up ord...

"I went to Froggy's the other night with a friend for a midweek dinner. It is definitely not the first time I've been there, but it may be the last. First of all, The servers were really in the weeds and seemed to be really understaffed. I understand that it gets busy, and things get delayed. Nothing really got delayed, but we were looking for them a lot for water and stuff. Secondly, but most importantly, was the food. The oysters we had were good and fresh. However, their escargot variation was weird, especially with the peapods. They were out of anchovies for the ceaser salad, but after tasting it, I don't think they use anchovies in the dressing. The flavor of their dressing along with the raw shaved beet was not good. Our main courses were just not good. I ordered the Bouillabaisse and it was terrible. It was like a weird tomato-based sauce with over cooked proteins. The lobster has no meat in the tail, and their was no lobster meat added, as the server described in the special. Not only the weird sauce, no toast points or Rouille... They served it with mashed potatoes and vegetables that stuck out like a sore thumb. On top of that all, my mussels weren't de-bearded... I couldn't eat them. The desserts weren't any better. We had the passion fruit mousse and the poached pear. The mousse had a strange texture, like they didn't allow whatever gelatin mixture they used to set up correctly. The taste was ok, but got drowned out by the raspberry sauce. On the poached pear, where is the pear? All I tasted was poaching liquid and that's it. For the price and quality, there are tons of better French options around the area. I guess if I feel like normal french cuisine, that a true Frenchman would be proud of, I will across the tracks and down the street to the other French option. Honestly, I think they are way passed their prime and need to revamp everything before I come in again, especially their menu and quality. "I work not too far from this cafe and have been there several times. The teas and coffees are great--I especially have liked the lattes I 've had--and I 've also taken advantage of the packaged teas and small gift shop when I 've needed to give a gift. The quality of the food, though, has been inconsistent--sometimes good and sometimes rather disappointing. Memorably, I had one dish that was garnished with pickled daikon that would have made a nice garnish if sliced very thin--but it was served in huge chunks that were so strongly flavored as to be inedible. On the other hand, I have enjoyed the grilled 'cheese ' with tomato soup. Frequently, the restaurant is advertising for staff so I really think that the inconsistency is likely caused by the high turnover almost every place is having right now. So it 's the reason I 'm only giving three stars, but I also plan to keep going there, so it 's not a dealbreaker for me. If you want something sweet, I highly recommend the sliced layer cake, which comes from Pie Pie My Darling. The available cake flavor changes monthly. This restaurant also has entertainment fairly regularly (including sometimes in the evening, when they 're otherwise not usually open), and hosts some community activities. As some others have noted, the prices are a little high, but I think that they are not out of line for the area. Most of the seating is indoors, with a few sidewalk tables outside in nicer weather. Parking is relatively easy--there is a small parking lot for the strip mall, plus street parking and a small municipal lot across the street. From the Highland Park Metra station, the walk is an easy few blocks. Updated from previous review on 2022-08-14"
