"My previous review seems to have been removed, probably because I referenced the racism allegations, so I 'll just reiterate my personal experience. We went in January 2020 as a party of 8 while planning my stepmother 's funeral after her sudden passing. We chose Hoagie Hut because my father was a longtime patron and considered the owners friends. We were the only patrons, but the cook/cashier on duty (a relative of the owners) made it clear that we were inconveniencing him by dining there. Shouted at us repeatedly, scolded me for being difficult because the first 3 menu items I tried to order weren 't in stock, and made my stepsister cry when she was already struggling with a difficult loss. The food is fine (when available), typical diner fair, but I would never support them again."

First time trying Hoagie Hut and I can say it was a great experience! Owner and family were so friendly and the food was excellent! My gf and I got a cheese steak and a salami ham and cheese to split. Both were top notch. Very good size and loaded with meat. I will be a regular going forward! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Don't let the visual style turn you away from ordering. This Place definitely has a PA mom and pop style hoagie shop vibe! Wood panel walls, parts of Menu written on Paper. The price is even a little on the hefty side......But it is totally worth it with the product quality and quantity!!! One hoagie will fill a 200 pound man.The sides are amazing and staff is really down to earth friendly people. My negative comment is,if they are going for an authentic small mom and pop shop...There would be only Phillies,Flyers, and 76'rs memobilliia on the wall....But the nice lady who cashed me out did have a Penn State hat.....which was nice.

"The overall atmosphere is a little odd, it was nicely decorated but otherwise practically silent. However the staff were friendly. The atmosphere wasn’t our issue tho cause the food is the biggest part. The price wasn’t horrible for how much we got, but the quality wasn’t amazing. The lobster roll was the winner of everything, I wouldn’t say it’s the best in the world but compared to the rest of the food it was pretty good and for the price not too too bad. The crab cakes tasted like the stuffing to us and were very soft in texture, with little to no flavor of crab. One was fried lightly and the other was way darker in color. We would not recommend the crab cakes. The coleslaw wasn’t bad but it was quite sweet and had lots of liquid, flavor wise wasn’t bad just very sweet. We also got the shrimp roll, which was the biggest disappointment to us, it was fried shrimp in a roll. When we think of a shrimp roll we think of cooked shrimp in mayo with maybe some herbs in the roll. This was fried shrimp like what you’d get in a captains platter with cocktail sauce. The shrimp just didn’t have much seasoning unfortunately. And lastly we got the clam chowder, it wasn’t bad either however it was a bit over salted and that made it hard to eat without stopping for a drink. Overall I would say our experience was very disappointing and we unfortunately would not go again. I think the only time we would is if we really were craving a lobster roll and don’t want to spend lots of money on one.But otherwise we won’t be back."
