"Iced Tea is excellent! All these covid precautions and the bathroom stinks of stale urine with no HOT water for handwashing? Floor in dining area is dirty and needs a good sweep and mop and (if present hot water. Table coverings are worn and have some tears in the corners. No offensive odors in the dining area so far and the staff is alright. Currently partial table service. My food was served HOT. (a rarity in Austin. The chicken fried steak is diminutive and rubbery its sized is disguised by an overly large crust and is not a value the gravy is bland.... The black wyed peas are delectable as are the collard greens seasoned with honey ham!... fries... eh but cooked well. Breads were also average.. If you want a comfort meal I recommend Hoover's. Overall the experience is 3.5 stars."

The food at this restaurant is excellent, especially the Tex-Mex dishes, which I really enjoy. However, I do think the prices are somewhat steep considering the quality and portion sizes.

The restaurant has a lovely setting with a friendly and welcoming staff, creating a family-friendly atmosphere. The mac and cheese is delicious, and the roasted okra is also quite tasty. The food is great and reasonably priced. I will definitely come back!

First time here. The service was great. Our waiter was very friendly. The chicken and dumplings were very tasty, as was the mac and cheese. The sweet tea wasn't as sweet as I liked, but that's not on them at all. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back. View menu

We also ordered peach cobbler, but it was served as a slice of cold peach pie. Assuming it was a mistake, we sent it back only to be informed that this is how they now serve it. Additionally, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill since we were a party of four. I can't recall the reason the waiter gave for this, but he mentioned we could add more if we wanted.

First time visiting this restaurant. Initially was a little skeptical cause the floors are in rough shape . But we wanted to try somthing different. Staff was great though everyone so friendly and attentive. Food for most part was a hit . The only dish that was not really enjoyed was the mac n cheese....maybe off day but seems like it was sitting or reheated. Noodles were mushy and cheese sauce was a little grainy..noone ate more than one bite . That being said the rest if the food was very good. I highly recommend fried chicken salad sandwich. By far best I have had. Perfectly made. All they need is to get floors cleaned and waxed and replace a few ceiling tiles then atmosphere would be 5 s...
