"This is hands down my husband and I's favorite sandwich shop in all of San Diego and we gladly drive 30 minutes to get here. It's worth it every time! My favorite sandwich on the menu is the Sweet Bird and I have to get it every time. Crystal also suggested I try something new so I opted for the Reuben which was absolutely delicious! Crystal is one of the amazing employees that works here and made our experience extra special. My husband loves the Bovine sandwich and tried the tomato soup which was delicious and so fresh. The ingredients used here are TOP NOTCH. So is the service! This is a family owned business and they put their sweat in blood into it! It shows with their kindness, attention to detail and the effort they make to remember each customer. We ended the experience with their amazing cookies. They spoiled our pup with bacon and he's already asking to go back. We will be here every weekend to continue to make our way through the plethora of amazing options on the menu."

"Our father's day celebration on June 19, 2022, was filled with loving thoughts, joyful hours, and memorable moments. Raven served our delicious, nutritious lunch. She was friendly, professional, and sincere as she was attentive to our needs, cheerfulas she helped us, and knowledgeable regarding our orders. Garret, on the other hand, served our appetizers. His humorous stylemade us laugh with his jokes, resulting in a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. Black Angus in El Cajon is a fine diningplace because, in addition to its adequate parking spaces, the workers observed punctuality, as manifested by the timely arrivalof our appetizers, main courses, salads, and beverages. The prime rib and lobsters were cooked to perfection as we felt thetenderness and succulence of the meat while we were biting on them. The salads were fresh, prepared with the right amount ofvegetables, and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. The server mixed the beverages with the right amount of sweetness andacidity. The table was clear of unnecessary plates, cups, silverware, and other dining necessities. Undisturbed by noisy peopledining nearby and partly surrounded by high-upholstered benches, the place was quiet and provided an unexpected but neededprivacy. Raven and Garret performed their duties not obsequiously but accommodatingly, as indicated by their warm smile andcheerful demeanor. The confluence of a warm and cozy room, delicious food, refreshing beverages, needed privacy, and reasonableand outstanding service made our father's day celebration satisfying and worth repeating."

"To be honest, the ribs were very expensive did not know what I ordered, they were so huge. But not, the less she very tender was very delicious. Moneywell spent! You get a 10 on my scale!!! A big appetite. But regardless of my appetite, the food must taste very well and Tinder tastes and it was all. I will serve with the smile, people seem extremely polite. And I appreciate the inn with my family from the city all enjoyed the food no complaints. Very good dinner money well spent!!! Ther were 4 foods at our party."

"I can't get enough of this place! The subs are massive! They may say they are 4 inches, but they are actually 6 inches wide, so they definitely pack more than expected. My go-to size is the 8-inch, but if I’m really hungry, I opt for the 12-inch. It’s an incredible sandwich—12 inches long and 6 inches wide! All the ingredients are fresh, and the broth is made daily, which is a must for any sandwich lover. Every time I promise myself I’ll try something new, I end up ordering the same sandwich I’ve had for the last 20 years! The wait can be a bit long, but they are always polite and inform you how long it will take. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays, which is usually when I crave them the most. But other than that, this is hands down the best sandwich place I’ve ever been to in the USA!"

"My go-to items are the beef back ribs and mac and cheese. Last time I was there the mac and cheese was $6 but it's so so gooey and good. My son LOVES their mac and cheese. I've tried the pork ribs a few times but thought it was a bit dry. Their beef ribs are much better. We've also tried their tri tip which was a bit dry too. Their other apps are pretty good and you can't really go wrong with the appetizers. Their apple cobbler was delish. Parking is small but we've never had any issues finding parking. Their staff has always been wonderful every time we went there."
