"Our experience with this restaurant has not been great. They seem to close whenever they feel like it. We arrived at 6:45 PM on a weekday, even though their posted hours say they’re open until 8 PM, only to find the doors locked. This is the third time we've shown up before 7 PM on a Sunday, only to encounter the same issue. Thankfully, we found another option that actually honors their hours. We won't be returning; there's a fantastic taco place in Hockessin that offers food at half the price of this restaurant."

"Lunch with a friend was a great experience. Our server Nolan was prompt not intrusive knew the menu and just great. Our food arrived sooooo quickly and was delicious. I’d make sure to save room for dessert which was scrumptious (molten chocolate cake with coffee gelato). We’ve been here often, Sovana is a real gem."

"First things first. The food at La Verona is really good, and the portions (at least for chicken parm and chicken marsala) were very generous my wife and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. If you like mushrooms, the soup is for you. It's very mushroom forward and not tempered by lots of cream or other flavors. We visited for Valentine's Day, which I do not recommend. We felt very rushed. With drinks, starter, entrees and even dessert, we were in and out within an hour. Bread was at the table before we ordered; our soup arrived before our drinks; and the check was deposited with our dessert. But, the service was very friendly. The dining room was a surprise because it lacked any warmth (we were at a table in the bar area the last few times we dined here, which felt more welcoming). The tables looked like they came from a diner, and the lighting was oddly bright. We would definitely go back for the food. But maybe we should try takeout next time."

"Ordered pork fried rice, they gave us chicken. Ordered shrimp pad Thai and I think they forgot to put the sauce on it. The noodles were dry. Like not sauce soaked in but dry. The whole dish tasted or basil which I like, but I’d have liked the sauce. Got the one night stand, sounded delish and it was okay- kind of an odd flavor combination to have seafood and steak in one bite. They were pretty fast."
