"Got lunch here at the tail end of their lunch rush this past Friday. I saw that they were busy but I had gotten my order for a Raider sandwich before another rush of customers. Unfortunately, the folks behind the counter made at least four other customers’ sandwiches before mine, so I was stuck waiting for a bit. I asked for ETA on my sandwich and was met by rudeness and excuses that they were busy, and the owner telling his employees to make my sandwich because I was “unhappy”. Yes, I was getting hangry and needed my food but didn’t need the condescension. Owner’s son was apologetic enough but didn’t make up for the rudeness of the owner. I was trying to support a local business but not with this attitude. A simple “sorry, your food’s coming right up” would’ve been good. Sandwich wasn’t bad but I don’t think I will be returning."

The macaroni and cheese was not available, so I ordered extra potato wedges instead.

Had a roast beef sandwich. It was made in house. Very delicious. They also make home made soup s and salads. Very fresh. View menu

I usually go to the Westlake Safeway and the sandwich is always great, but this time the sandwich was not good. The bread was not fresh.

I ordered a custom sandwich and was given the smallest sandwich I have ever received. Considering it cost almost $20, I expected a larger size. The taste was good, but it was disappointing in terms of portion size. View menu

The best consistent deli around the peninsula. When you order a sandwich, it is filled with an amazing amount of high quality meat and fresh veg. You can't take care of your mouth. The sour batter is brilliant. The owner is as personal and you feel like an old friend. The ladies who create your food are also consistently efficient and friendly. Just a great place to get quality for your .

Walking in Leonardo's feels like walking back in time. They have fresh soup of the day on a counter and on a typical morning I see folks get an espresso and people watch. There's Sinatra playing which mixed with the smell of the soup and sandwiches being made just puts a smile on my face. The sandwiches are highly customizable but I tend to stick with the menu board staples because there's something for every mood if it ain't broke why mess with it?

"Curry Hyuga had long been on my culinary radar, and today, I finally had the chance to experience it. The occasion arose as I needed to pick up my partner at SFO later, and given the mere 10-minute drive from the restaurant to the airport, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to satiate my appetite and make the most of my time, rather than aimlessly circling around the airport. Conveniently, there are numerous public parking lots scattered throughout the town. The restaurant opens its doors at 11:30 am, and I arrived promptly at 11:25 am, only to find a queue already forming outside, as depicted in the photo. The attentive server, Yuki promptly greeted each customer and kept my water glasses filled, setting a positive tone for the dining experience.Opting for their Signature Curry Rice Entree, which features their caramelized onion curry accompanied by shredded cabbage, creamy potato salad, and Fukujin pickles, I decided to elevate my meal by adding Chicken Cutlet Katsu Curry with Chicken Karaage as additional toppings. To my amazement, my order was delivered to my table in a mere 3 minutes, which left me thoroughly impressed. Curry Hyuga's standout feature is their incredibly tender meat, perfectly complemented by their mouthwatering curry—a true masterpiece with Kanazawa-style sweetness and richness that sets it apart. To further customize your dish, they offer a selection of five different spices: Ichimi Togarashi, Jalapeno Pepper, Pequin Pepper, Wiri Wiri Pepper, and Orange Habanero. I had the pleasure of sampling all of them, and personally, I found the Wiri Wiri Pepper and Orange Habanero powder to be standout choices. Their spiciness elevated the curry to a whole new level, complemented by the unique fragrance of the peppers."
