"I love coming here! As a local for more than 10+ years in Washington Heights/Inwood resident I’ve always felt safe, welcomed and treated with so much love by the staff! The owner, Sandra, is the FIRST restaurant on the plaza and she has kept the highest quality of her food and customer services for more than 20+ Years! We do not need to worry about having incoming crowds who do not know how to behave in public as she makes sure all of her customers are well taken cared of and do not make others feel uncomfortable. The food AMAZINGGGG!!! as a notorious traveler I really love the love they give in every dish! IL Sole definitely brings me back to Tuscany Italy with their pasta and wine selections. Lastly Thursdays are LIVE JAZZ THURSDAYS!! ALLLLL YEAR AROUND IL Sole is my TOP choice on the Dyckman Strip. Women Owned Minority Owned and lead by a great loving professional staff. We need more restaurants on the stripe to follow her lead in order for us locals to come and enjoy more!"

The food here was so amazing, honestly finding Italian food is so hard sometimes. But the penne alla vodka with grilled chicken was soooo good. The berria pizza was so delicious and don't forget to ask for the Burria soup

We happened to stumble in during Jazz night, on Thursday, the staff was amazing, the food was good, and the service was exceptional. My daughter Brandy and I were looking for a place to have lunch in the Inwood section of Manhattan and she chose this restaurant. Iiana, was the only waitress at this time and she had several other tables to wait on, yet she didn't fail to check and see how everything was and if we needed anything else. Brandy's dish was the chicken scampi with linguine. The menu says shrimp scampi, but she requested chicken instead. I had chicken francaise with linguine, seasoned with garlic and oil.
