"Service was great, employees friendly and attentive. Our server checked on us several times. The food seemed to be okay (I didn't eat, but my friends did). Dessert was tasty. The restaurant itself could use a thorough cleaning though. The floors were a bit grungy in particular. Not my cup of tea, but there was enough variety I'm sure I could find something interesting if we return."

Every Friday night, my sister, my niece and I go to dinner. We mostly went to Lubys. We stopped going because our food was always cold. We had a voucher and decided to try Luby again. We will add it back to our list. View menu

I haven't been to a luby's in quite some time. I enjoyed the fried fish with mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was fresh and hot, with that comfort feel. The service was inviting and the server was very helpful.

I go every weekday after school with my son. I enjoyed the daily special. My favorite one is the baked spaghetti. I love the Service. The waitstaff gives an excellent service. Claudia, Aracely, Christina, are my favorite waitresses, and I can’t leave out Maggie who serves my food with a friendly smile.

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
