"The Fat Man took a little jaunt south for a weekend in the Crescent City. I've been told that this is a foodie town, and I was excited to see what New Orleans had to offer—starting with Mahony's Po-boys Seafood. Mahoney's is an informal eatery offering a variety of Po-Boy sandwiches other Cajun-Creole grub, plus cocktails.@mahonyspoboys My friends and I decided to start with the Debris Fries, shredded cheddar, and roast beef debris gravy. We received Cheese fries made with house-cut fries, cheddar cheese, and pimento cheese queso. We were hungry and didn't mind, so we tried them. The fries could have used a little bit longer in the fryer as they were cooked slightly under, but they were salted well. The cheese is melted well, and you get an excellent pimento flavor in the queso with some heat on the back end. Our server came by and noticed the mistake, so they upgraded us to the debris gravy, simply pouring the gravy over the top. The roast beef was tender with great flavor; the gravy was rich with a good salt level. Everything worked well together. It was a small mistake that turned out to be great together. For my meal, I ordered the Fried Catfish Fillet Po-Boy, 10 , a cornmeal crusted Louisiana catfish filet on French bread with Braised collards as my side. The greens were tender with a good salt level but needed some pork for flavor. I found them a little bitter and needed some more vinegar. The bread and veggies were fresh, a good amount of mayo on the sandwich and the bread had a good chew but very soft. The bottom bun was a little soggy. The catfish had a great fresh taste but could have used another minute or two in the fryer. The breading was light with a great crunch on the outside for most of the sandwich but slightly mushy in the middle and bottom. It had flavor and tasted good, but a mess of a sandwich to eat as it fell apart when bitten into it. Mahony's serves plenty of NOLA favorites for starters and entrées, beer and a full bar. Their menu also offers two Po-boy Fest Award Winners. The service was fast, and the server was excellent. The Fat Man says that Mahony's Po-boys Seafood is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin."

Wow! Shanei C. was incredible—charming, attentive, and spot on with her recommendations! The restaurant itself was stylish, clean, and overall fantastic. I highly recommend trying the alligator po-boy she suggested—it was delicious! Food: 5/5

The absolute best club sandwich I’ve ever had ?! Great tasting ham Turkey with the best bacon I’ve had. My wife ordered the pork skins with the cheese dip and also had the cheese covered fries . We were stuffed to the max, appetizers are very shareable items.

The one in the Garden District was better but still a very good option for food. Food wasn't quite as good here but still had an amazing Peacemaker Po-boys. Onion rings tasted a little more salty here too but still good. The guy who served us was great. Very friendly and made us laugh a lotFood: 4/5 View menu

Right next to Bourbon street in New Orleans the atmosphere is awesome but the food is better. My son is picky and he raved about the collard greens. The cheese fries with the pimento cheese was the best I've ever eaten and the po boys were phenomenal. The bread is fabulous. The waitress was also superb.Food: 5/5

This restaurant was conveniently located next to our hotel, so we decided to stop by for a snack when it was relatively empty. We ordered drinks, po'boys, and fries, all of which were delicious. The fried shrimp wasn’t greasy at all, the bread was soft, and the vegetables were fresh. I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for a great po'boy!

I was disappointed with the service on my visit. Our waitress served our main courses as we were eating starters, then cleared the plates and gave us our bill before I had finished my main course. It felt as though we were being rushed out, for no obvious reason we were there at about 7 pm, well before closing. Perhaps we came on a bad day, but we will not be returning to find out. View menu

Hands down! Delicious! Best gumbo that I have found in town yet. But let me tell you, the staff is some of the best I have ever met in my travels. The kindness shown to an out of towner was truly a delight. Even in Vegas I have never experienced the hospitality that this place shows. Please visit them and support them. Not only do you get wicked good food but the people, the people are what make it special.

Outstanding food and service! We will absolutely return! We started with the Cracklin’s Queso and Etouffee Fries as appetizers, and I can't recommend them enough—they were fantastic! For my main dish, I had the Crawfish Etouffee with rice, which was delicious. My husband and friends opted for different PoBoy choices, and everyone was delighted! Our waitress was amazing—friendly and very attentive! I will be telling everyone who visits New Orleans about this place!
