"I absolutely loved this restaurant during my time working in Illinois. I haven't come across one in Pittsburgh or the nearby areas yet. While on a two-month vacation, I stumbled upon this place and knew I had to try it. I ordered the large Italian sandwich, while my daughter opted for the club, and both were delicious. I also highly recommend the mac and cheese and the sweet tea. I will definitely be coming back before I leave."

I had a complete meal at the hub and would recommend the McAllister Club or the Grilled Chicken Club with potato salad or fruit cups! The Angus Beef Club wasn’t great, even though it was a bit pricier.

One of my favorite spots in the HUB. Their unsweetened tea is fantastic—definitely the best on campus, in my opinion. I really love their French Dip, chili, and mac and cheese. The line is usually shorter, or they seem to serve customers very quickly. View menu

The food arrives as anticipated, but the place gets extremely busy, causing delays in service. The long wait can lead to a crowded line that obstructs access to the ordering area. I also wish that a side didn’t need to be added to increase the cost of the sandwich.

There aren’t many McAllister’s in this area, so it’s great that there’s one in the Hub for a quick bite between classes. I always find the quality of the food to be excellent and consistent. My top choice is the New Yorker sandwich, but you really can’t go wrong with any of their combinations of sandwiches, soups, or salads. Plus, they serve some of the best tea around.
