"This is a really intimate little restaurant. I love that they offered you a glass of wine instantly before you were even in your seat. The wait staff is superb, and you basically get a private waiter for the duration of your meal. The courses moved pretty fast, so if you 're doing the wine pairing, you better drink up quick or you 'll have a glass poured and waiting in the wings. The best bites were the first offerings. There were three snacks up first that were excellent. The best dish was like a pasta made of finely cut squid... the broth was amazing. The heartiest course was duck, and unfortunately, it was pretty underwhelming. The dessert was fine, but not overly memorable. It 's expensive, but a unique meal."

After dining in the Tavern section of the restaurant, my friends and I were convinced we had to return for the tasting menu. While it wasn't a budget-friendly experience—costing $270 per person for the food—it was definitely worth it.

Dinner was an amazing adventure with a delightful waitress who was very knowledgable. Bread from tiller bread was delicious. I had the duck, my son the scallops, my mom the bucatini and my daughter in law the filet mignon. For dessert we had the brownie.. it did not disappoint would highly recommend View menu

this was our second time at McCrady’s and it was even better than the first. I gave them a second chance because of the big weeping from the first time. the service was both excellent! the wein paring amazing! but the great was the tasting menu, for this second time we were served hot/hot feed and not cold or room temperature teller.

the tasting menu here is wonderful. service here is always top notch. this is a restaurant to treat yourself. I'm here two times solo and every time I feel like I'm in heaven. the menu changes a lot so they rarely have the same dish. Last time I was here, I had the Wagyu supplement from which they did something special. best. steak. always. the beverage pairings are top notch, and they know their wine very well.

The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. While our pork dish was slightly undercooked, the staff promptly took it back with an apology and provided us with complimentary side dishes along with the main course. Our waitress from New York City was friendly and engaging throughout the meal. The manager also stopped by to apologize and ensure that everything exceeded our expectations, making sure we were not just satisfied, but genuinely happy. Great job, everyone! Keep it up! We had a fantastic experience with the tasting menu! The ambiance and service here are exceptional. The view of the kitchen adds a unique touch to the dining experience that you won’t find elsewhere. It’s a very intimate setting that encourages conversation among guests. The aromas are delightful and rich, enhancing the overall enjoyment. The seafood dishes were exactly as anticipated, and we enjoyed some excellent wine pairings with the meal. The staff, including the manager, provided attentive service throughout. Watching the kitchen in action after each course was a well-equipped show that added to the experience.

one of the best culinary experiences I ever had. the food was excellent, the staff could not have been accommodating anymore, and only a full adventurous when you go through the door. the flavors are what most never a chance to meet. it is almost emotional when you go through tasting what is being brought out. I can't give enough praise for everyone there and their efforts. it was the birthday of my wife and she is also pregnant so that she adapted all the dishes accordingly. she even got the alcohol-free pairing and never felt left out. everything was as if it were the original intention. it is not cheap, but if they have the opportunity, they do not give it up.

"I just have one word that describes my experience here. WOW It was an absolute experience coming here. We were in town for my birthday and decided to eat here for my bday dinner/last night in Charleston. The vibe and atmosphere were classy, fun, and calming. They have a main bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait for a table and can be quite lively later in the evening. The dining rooms are towards the back, a lot quieter and more intimate so has a flavor for whatever you are into. The service was absolutely perfect. Our server (I wish I would have gotten her name she served our party of two at 10pm on Saturday 8/17) was so insanely friendly and personable. She knew her stuff and then some when it came to presenting the menu, but also would come chat with us and give us tips and recs for Charleston as she knew we were from out of town. They also gave us a free cheesecake and glasses of champagne on the house for our celebration. Just overall made us feel incredibly special and welcomed (we don't normally eat at places like this lol). The food, omg.....I am not overstating or being hyperbolic.......this was hands down without a doubt the greatest steak I have ever had in my life. Nothing even comes close. I had the Dry Aged Ribeye, and it has completely ruined steak for me because nothing will ever be that good. My girlfriend got the Filet, and it was in the same ballpark. Just legendary. We also got a side of the lobster Mac Cheese and it was fluffy with a perfect crust on top. Amazing flavor and texture. If you ever have the opportunity to dine, do yourself a favor and go. This was one of the best dinner experiences I have ever had. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience to the wait staff, the chef, servers, everyone there played a part and gave me a memory I will hold onto forever. Thank you!!"

"My fiancé and I were engaged on 12/22/17 and he planned our solemn dinner with Circa 1886, and it was nothing less amazing. Charles was our waiter and delivered the best service we had ever experienced. The next day we even called the restaurant to rave over our experience. The service was like a clockwork, but we were not rushed. Our glasses were never half empty and our cutlery was replaced by any course. We received free champagne regularly $34/glass) and customized congratulation menus to start the meal. All the questions we had on the menu were answered and Charles gave great suggestions for meals. I ordered the Intermezzo cocktail and my fiancée ordered the famous Scotch cocktail, both were great. We ordered the scallops and the beets and chèvre as starters. The scallops were cooked for perfection. Very buttery and melt in your mouth - I wish more than 2 came on the plate! The beet and the Chèvre were exquisite with cool goat cheese sauce. We ate every bite. 2 bite-sized free snacks were provided by the cook - one was a spoon with a cheese cube, almond and cherry, the other was a divided Lima bean soup. YUM. As for dinner, my fiancée did the 5 courses tasting menu beef pate, heirloom tomato salad, pheasant, lamb, pumpkin soap) and he enjoyed everything. The portions were generous and Charles gave me additional plates so that I could choose the different dishes. I ordered the triple potato gratin I am vegetarian and it was from this world. Very sweet and delicious. Charles then surprised me with a free dessert course of the Smores). Both plates were decorated with congratulations in chocolate - it was a very special note. When we included the $200 check with a generous tip) we felt like the experience and the food was worth 100% the money. We will definitely be back and would recommend everyone and everyone."
