"I've been to several McDonald's all across the country this restaurant is by far the WORST one I've ever seen! The service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Crew workers are UNWELCOMING, RUDE, make you feel bad about choosing McDonald's. All the doors to enterthe restaurant were LOCKED except for one entrance (consider fire safety, or what if mass shooting, how could one escape?)Inside the restaurant smelled DISGUSTING like the Grease traps haven't been changed in Months???? the bathrooms are LOCKED ifyou ask to use them the workers respond with an attitude like you disturbed their whole entire life!???? I was only passingthrough Alabama when I stopped at this McDonald's I can PROMISE YOU ?????This McDonald's made me never want to stop in theGreat State of Alabama ever again! ???????????"

Asked them for a double fish fillet and a 20-piece McNuggets fresh , they handed me barely warm food. I gave it back and told them I want it fresh they then gave me fresh McNuggets that tasted more like burnt oil than anything else, not a location that I would recommend.

Horrible service. Had to wait for fries because they had to cook (no s#!t Sherlock). After over 20 minutes our fries come out hard, cold and without the salt packets requested or any napkins. On top of all that, the staff was dripping with attitude. I will never return to that McDonald 's and plan on reporting their pitiful customer service to corporate. View menu

We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and the quality of the fresh, flavorful meals we ordered. I had the freshest fish sandwich I've ever tasted. My nephew had a quarter-pound burger, which he said was perfectly cooked and quite satisfying. However, the fries were a bit disappointing—thin, limp, and inconsistently cooked, with some being crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Overall, I really appreciated the staff.

The girl in drive through charged me for something I didnt ask for knowing I didnt order that.. through receipt down wasnt going to give me the actual recipient and I told her I wanted my receipt to what I paid for.. and so she also also handed me 2.00 cashback.. now she shouldn't have charged me for someone elses order.. she tried to get away with it.. you need to get her off theregister... I ordered the bundle not the other ticket she had me pay for

I ordered a coffee for $1.09 and was taken aback, as the most expensive coffee where I live is only about 50 cents before taxes. The coffee was good, as expected. The employee was polite, but when I opened the cup to add cream and sugar, I noticed it was only half full. Since I had gone through the drive-thru and was dealing with Sicilian nerve pain, I didn't go inside to show them how little coffee I had received. Going forward, I think I'll stick with McDonald's for my coffee runs. View menu

I'm pretty sure they gave my mobile order to someone else since they have two pickup spots labeled 2. Spent over 30 minutes waiting for the food I already paid for. Staff was easily upset, went to throw something away at an outside trash can and wastold repeatedly the inside was closed which I already knew after being told the first time. I would have gone somewhere else ifthey didn't already change me. So short staffed and several people were just sitting at tables inside. It's nice to see thatthey give their staff more than 30 minute breaks at 5pm.

I was at the drive-thru, second in line from the pick-up window, when two men stood right next to my car. After the car in front of me drove away, they gestured for me to pull forward. Seriously? I'm supposed to drive up with two men standing there? They were blocking the window. So, I decided not to move until I received my food! I called to speak to a manager, and the person who answered said it was okay for truck drivers to approach the window like that. I said, "Really? You think it's safe to just hang around the window?" Their response was less than satisfactory. Is this really what you call good customer service?

"If there is a restaurant that is a Birmingham institution among the wealthier crowd, there is literally only one name that locals would bring up, and it is undoubtedly Highlands. Not that there aren't other nice restaurants, but this spot has proven itself over time and is ran by a chef that most Alabamians are quite proud of. Opened in 1982, Highland's is a place that put Birmingham on the map in a positive way at a time when the post industrial iron period was about to wind down and transform the city. Frank formalized his cooking techniques by working in kitchens of San Francisco and France, creating a medley of American Southern and French cuisine that is difficult to find elsewhere. It was not a time when it was common to see a chef from Alabama going to study cooking in Europe, thus the story was already an anomaly. Frank Stitt was trying to pioneer sustainable agriculture and farming well before anybody in Alabama knew what in the world that actually meant or for that matter, cared. One of the signature items is the baked grits that has been around since the restaurant opened. It's a tasty grits preparation and without a doubt, something to try. The pheasant was spectacular, fairly lean and with a crispy delicious skin, served with grits and green beans. Pastries here are created by Dolester Miles, who has been in the job for well over 30 years. The opera cake is absolutely spectacular, gentle and complexly layered. The basque cake is peachy and moist, with a crispy delicious exterior and Chantilly cream. Not only are these likely the best desserts to discover in Alabama, but may be some of the best to be found in America. The attentiveness got derail was clearly evident. As far as service, generally fine, but not particularly attentive. The waitress did not seem in much of a mood to welcome people to the establishment. Many items on the menu were running out by 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Nobody was particularly impressed with the flounder that got substituted for the grouper. And then there are other questions, why would you run out of grits? They know they are always filled to capacity and ingredients to make grits are not immediately perishable. Highland's has by this point in Birmingham's history become a classic. It's evident that most people here have been around for decades working at their jobs and serving the rich crowds of Mountain Brook. It's a place of great food and shows many combinations of ingredients that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere, let alone be executed this well."
