"Not sure what all these bad reviews are about. I’ve been here twice and my husband has been three times and we’ve never had an issue! Mel’s has excellent food, great customer service and we’ve never waited more than a couple minutes for our food. Yes, they are a bit pricey but so are a lot of places. It is definitely worth it and we will most certainly be back! Brought my grandparents here about a month and a half ago and my grandfather is old fashion and picky about where he eats and doesn’t like too many burger places anymore. However, he liked Mel’s so much he asked when we could come back (my grandparents live in Keller by the way and would be willing to make the drive back to Boyd just to eat here! That’s saying something! Keep up the awesome work you guys!"

This restaurant is a wonderful choice for breakfast and lunch! The food is incredibly tasty, and I especially enjoy the all-you-can-eat option offered on Saturdays and Sundays. On top of that, it’s just a short 10-minute drive from my place!

Serving sizes are HUGE and prices well. What I got was called the “Teeny Weeny” scrambler Ask for crispy hashbrowns. Ours were white, no browning on them at all, on both plates. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the parking lot was full. The food was absolutely amazing. We had onion rings to start(huge and delicious) I had the Fried pork chops with brown gravy, fried squash and fresh cut fries, hubby had Philly with fries. The food was beyond amazing! I've been to this restaurant multiple times and it does not disappoint. The chicken fried steak is delicious and the BLT is cooked with real bacon (and a lot of it too! . If I remember correctly they have a catfish day on Thursdays and Fridays. The hamburgers are very yummy. And the wait staff was very patient when we brought in a big party, everyone was very kind. The fried pickles and onion rings are to die for. And don't sleep on the breakfast too! It's very good, we've even had people go out of their way to make our pancakes look like us (using bacon to mimic hairstyles . It is a wee bit dark inside but other than that it is a very, very good place to eat.
