"A complete gem in San Diego's Little Italy! First time eating at Nonna and the food and service were outstanding. I am a second generation Italian and have eaten all over. My go to is usually the Lasagne as long as the server gives me a thumbs up on its authenticity. This place did not disappoint at all. In fact it was truly the best tasting Lasagne I have ever eaten. Just don't tell my family. We also had the carbona which too was out of this world, flavorful and bursting with flavor. Ambiance was great and everyone was friendly and on top of things. Definitely worth every penny and we will definitely be returning!"

The chicken piccata was delicious, tender, and flavorful. The calamari appetizer was also tasty. The bread that came with the meal was a focaccia pizza bread, which was also very delicious. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

My family and I had a fantastic dinner on the outdoor patio at Nonna's. The food was amazing and the service was top-notch. It's wonderful to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. I highly recommend Nonna's in the heart of Little Italy. We will definitely return. View menu

We had a delightful experience at Nonna's, sitting outside in the vibrant atmosphere of Little Italy. We were celebrating a birthday and our waiter surprised us with a dessert that had "happy birthday" written on it, a thoughtful gesture that we truly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Little Italy has a ton of gems, but for us Nonna’s is our favorite. The service is always top notch and we have our favorite dishes. We live an hour north of San Diego and every time we visit we go to Nonna’s. Our son lives the Bolognese, my husband loves the Lasagna and I love thr Rucola salad. We are simple when it comes to restaurants (not foodies), if the food and service are good, we are loyal.

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
